Poured into the new Samuel Adams Boston Lager glass from a 22 oz brown bomber. Appearance is clear and deep golden. Head is white but dissappears very quickly leaving no lacing.
Smells strongly of grape skin, pear, and apple with faint alcohol.
Taste is very sweet upfront with hints of caramel and graininess. This fades to a strong floral and grassy taste that lingers.
Relatively light-bodied with moderate carbonation that finishes semi-dry with a slight alcohol burn.
A pretty decent pils, worth a try.

Pours out a hazy gold with a thinnish head that maintains its form (thanks to the constant cabronation), and leaves some spotty lacing. The aroma in the malt department is bready and a touch worty. The hops give a good punch of hay, grass, and citrus. Flavor starts off with some sweetish, mildly toasty pale malts which is immediately followed by lots of hops: rather bitter and with flavors of flowers, lemon, and grass. Beneath the hops lie some honey and bread. Finishes somewhat dry. Mouthfeel is lively and on the lighter sides, but feels a tad sticky. Not a typical pilsner, but it sure is tasty.

Pours a cloudy, straw-colored brew with a nice head.
Smell of malt and yeast quickly noticeable, but also a seemingly off smell of ...vinegar?
Initial malt taste is good, then a bit of sourness, then the bitterness, but the sour taste lingers.
Smooth beer, but does not have the crisp malt and bitterness typical of the style. Wouldn't necessarily reach for this one again.

Pours out a cloudy straw color with very little white stuff.
Smell is pretty strong Sugar Candy Yeast and Orange Peel.
Mabey some slight alcohol in the back there. You can smell this beer from a few feet away.
Taste is like sweet at first then immediatly goes to sour and dark then to sweet again followed by just bitter. I get an orange peel flavor every once in a while. Must be the Czech Pils yeast I am tasting here. Really good.
Mouthfeel is slightly dirty but in a good way.
Very drinkable and pretty nice brew from Rogue.

Picked up a box of 22's of this at a rogue garage sale. Pale straw color with a thin white head. Aroma is light and fresh, hay and pale grain with a slight tartness. Well integrated, clean flavor. Light grainy malt with hops that are a tad juicy for a pilsner, sort of a star-fruit or champagne grape flavor, but they clean up quickly for a dry, very mild grain finish. Very drinkable, but odd enough to keep it interesting. A good weekday summer quaffer.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a cloudy light yellow. Nose was of hops and light malts. Mouthfeel crisp and clean. Very nice flavor of caramel malts and citrus hops. Short bitter finish . A nice pils that tastes much like the ones I drank on an extended trip to Germany last year. Nice brew, and very easy to drink

Poured a nice golden yellow with a nice white head, that had a decent retention but eventually faded to a nice layer of lace that stayed down the glass. Smell was very grainy and had a slight hop nose to it, but more subtle aromas lay underneath. The taste was very well played for a pilsmer, and was more of an ale to me. Light body and feel, smooth flowing carbnation and a nice light grain and fruity flavor made it very enjoyable. Awesome summer session ale and another winner from Rogue.

Pours a golden color with a nice soapy white head the left some real nice lacing on the glass. The smell is on the sweet side for a pilsner, citrus and some grassy hops. Has a cracker-like malt base, grassy hops, and a twang of lemony-citrus sweetness. The feel is light but not watery, finishes a bit too dry. A very drinkable and very good example of the style, very enjoyable though a tad too dry.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden color with a foamy one finger head. Short retention and light lace.
Smell: Very crisp and fresh smelling. Light citrusy scent. Nice malty aroma. Smells somewhat earthy and grainy. Floral hop presence is slightly noticeable.
Taste: Initially it has a sweet taste. Citrus taste is on the light side (maybe even a little banana mixed in). It is a bit grainy. Hops are extremely light. It does have a crisp bite on the way down.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability: It's light bodied, crisp, and would be nice on a hot day. Very drinkable. I'd call it a nice session beer if I liked it a little more. Overall, it's okay. Worth a try, but I've had much better from Rogue.

look: 4.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.5
Appearance: Poured from the 22 oz bomber into a pilsner glass (took 2 pourings). The beer is a pale yellow color. I pour rather softly and still get a large head (nearly 2 inches). The fluffy white head takes a while to settle, never fully falling from a solid cover on the liquid that is nearly a 1/4 inch thick. Leaves some good sheets of lacing down the glass as well.
Smell: Gome sweeter malt scents, a touch bready, perhaps even a little yeasty as well. Some nice citrous and floral aromas as well. My experience with Rogue beers and the Uber attached to the name had me hoping there would be some good hops, but I get little in the smell.
Taste: Some good sweet malts, not overly sweet like a doppelbock, but good for a pilsner. Touch bready, with a citrousy twang. The lack of a big hop punch was a bit of a let down, but this is still a superb beer, especially for a German Pils made here in the states.
Mouthfeel: I guess I could call this medium in body, especially for a pils. Still it had good carbonation, was lively. Crisp, somewhat dry finish. Clean on the palate with no lingering aftertaste.
Drinkability: I really enjoyed this beer, very sessionable without getting boring. Although not in the same style as a macro lager, this puts all of the BMC beers to shame. I would think you could pour this in a glass for any BMC drinker, without telling him or her what it is (or is not), and that person would enjoy this. I'm close to a 5 on drinkability, but I give it a 4.5 due to cost.

Light golden colored, immediately had me thinking apricots for some reason. Big, fluffy head with lots of staying power. Lots of carbonation racing to the top. Crystal clear. Excellent lacing. A little darker than other Pilseners I've had. Looks good and rich.
Fruity and slightly floral on the nose. Not much of an obvious malt presence, but seems to have thick backbone to it, even in the scent. Some pineapple and a hint of strawberry. A bit of apple juice. Not much from there. Seems to run out of depth. Still strong though.
Rich and creamy, mostly bitter, but it does have that strong malt backbone I suspected from the scent. Slightly fruity. Sort of a charcoal like bite to this one. Bread and biscuit on the malt side of things with a little cut grass and pine on the sides of the tongue from the hops. Finish gets a little slick at the back of the throat. Big and rich compared to most Pilseners I've had. Tasty.
A tasty brew. I'm not a huge Pilsener fan, but this could maybe find a place with certain foods.

22oz bottle into a pilsner glass.
Pours a golden-tangerine color with a large white head that receeds to leave very nice lacing.
Smell is interesting. Some fruitiness, but I'm not sure what fruit. Very sweet on the nose.
Taste is just as interesting. Very malty. Oranges and more sweet malt. Doesn't quite seem like a pils.
Not quite as crisp as I would like in the mouth. Overall a good beer, but not a typical pilsner.

22 oz bottle (45o), poured into 2 pilsner glasses
Color & Head: Very cloudy and opaque. Dark yellow with a great dense head.
Aroma: Very malty in smell. Much sweeter than other pils Ive had, no hops at all.
Taste: Very sweet. Very malty. Not dry and crisp like most pils. Low hop character.
Notes: Different, but good. I enjoyed it a lot. I will definitely get this again the very next chance I get. Im anxious to try it again.

Bomber into a pils glass. Pours a clear bright straw with a nice head that quickly recedes- no lacing. Aroma is light malt a bit of a floral note. Taste is nice sweet light malt again some citrusy and noble hops with a lingering floral bitterness. This a pretty good pilsner. The Sterling hops have a really interesting and nice citrus element which is a bit different. Mouthfeel is medium with a nice carbonation. About what I expect from a pils. Pretty drinkable

pale in color with a nice malty aroma, this was the highlight og the beer for me. the taste is smooth and definitly a better alternative to bud, but to be honest i found the two to taste very similar and quite frankly that made me slightly ill. probably my least favorite rogue beer.

22oz bomber into pint glass.
Slightly hazy pale golden color with an off white thick head that holds well.
Floral hops with a strong buttery aroma. The malts only make a faint background appearance.
Bread-like malts set a base for some light fruity hop flavor. A touch of apricot comes to mind. Medium bodied with good carbonation. There is a slightly acidic feel. The finish has lingering hop bitterness.
The taste let me down a little on this one. The hops just don't seem to sit right with me.

Aroma of machinery well oiled. Taste is thin not watery, smooth drinking pils. Not a lot of flavour, but some subtle plum, bitterness present at low IBU and it is balanced with malt. Satisfying in a subtle way.Serviceable. Understated carbonation. A bomber is a lot, good I shared.

Appearance: Pours a pretty cloudy orange golden color with a small short-lived head of whitish bubbles. There are some bubbles rising, but they don't sustain the head. There is some lacing left on the glass after drinking the beer
Aroma: I get some sweet malt in the aroma of this beer and it comes across as more toasty sweet than anything, but there is a honey-like sweetness here that is a pretty big player. I get some oxidation here that gives the beer a fruity aroma with some apples and citrus in particular.
Taste: The flavor is really clean and malty, but has an odd citrusy hop presence that I am surely not used to with a Pilsner beer. It also has a considerable amount more body than even a Helles beer. The finish has some hops to go with the malt, but the malt has a slight edge to linger for a while. There is no alcohol noticeable except that I am feeling a little warm after coming up on the bottom of this bomber.
Opinion: This beer is OK, but it is rather typical for an American Microbrew interpretation of a Pilsner. This is more like a mild American Pale Ale made with Lager yeast. It's OK, and I would drink it again if I came across it at a beer meeting, but I seriously doubt that I will buy another bottle of this stuff.

Poured a slightly hazy straw yellow with a thin diminishing head that left almost no lacing. The aroma was normal for a pilsner, pale malts with a weak hop backbone. The taste was a good balance of sweet pale malts and slightly citrusy hops. The beer had a good level of carbonation and was light on the palate. This beer is drinkable for the style, but there are better ones out there.

Poured into a pilsner glass, received a small head and lots of bubbles. Golden color with good clarity; not the clearest beer ever, but definitely not hazy.
Aroma is fresh grass, wet hay, lemon, sweet malts, clean hops. Not an overwhelming fragrance, really light, really subtle.
Whoa...that's a malty pilsner. There are hops here, but I was expecting more of them and not so much malt. Can't complain, it makes this pils stand out from the crowd a bit. Some toffee is detected, also bread dough and lemon. Crisp hops bitterness coats the tongue in the finish, and the mouthfeel is a tad heavier than most pilsners.
Not the sharpest or hoppiest pils, and maybe not one for strict traditionalists or style-nazis, but it's one I'll remember over the many other good but faceless pilsners out there.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a pislener glass.
Appearance - Golden straw in color with a thin cap of creamy white head. This has little retention and quickly settles to a film of bubbles/head patches. There is some moderate lacing, however, as you drink this beer down. Also, it is very clear, not haziness at all.
Smell - Crisp bitter hoppy aroma. A light malty scent behind this. There are mild sugary notes as well. Not a very complex aroma.
Taste - Has a nice mix of mildly sweet malts with crisp bittering hops all ofver the taste. Toward the finish some sour flavors enter and the sweetness also increases. Powdery/yeasty flavors also come in at this point. The aftertaste is bitter and has some slight earthy flavors. Mild alcohol throughout.
Mouthfeel - Light/medium body. Active carbonation. Wet mouthfeel overall, but dries up considerably after you swallow a sip.
Drinkability - Darn good. Light flavors and a refreshing carbonation/mouthfeel.
This is a pretty decent pilsener. I'm not really a huge fan of this style, but this is one of the better ones I've tried. Worth a try for sure.

(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer has the light golden color of pecan wood with a crystal clear body and a big off-white rocky head that turns into big open bubbles after a bit. There is a strong carbonation of large bubbles racing through this beer.
S- There is a light herbal and noble hop aroma that is dry with notes of fresh pale malt that has some depth to it almost like floor dried malt. There is a light pine note that is more pine needles that pine resin when it warms a bit.
T- The nice depth in the pale malt is finished with a nice hop finish with a slight sulfur note to it. There is a slight honey malt note to the flavor that comes through as it warms with a nice soft pungent quality to the hop finish as well.
M- This beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with a very light fizz in the finish that supports the hops.
D- This beer has smooth subtle flavors but it has very nice depth of flavor in the malt and the hops have some interesting qualities to them. The beer focuses on the hops flavor and malt flavor not just a watery beer with a big sulfury hop bitterness. This beer was well crafted.

Oops, this is classified as a German Pilsner? I thought German Pilsners are supposed to be KRISTAL KLAR? This brew, however, is not crystal clear. This is uber cloudy, but is still quite bubbly like a good pils. This has a sticky pure white head, and stick well until the end. This does taste like a typical pils, though. Very grainy and bittersweet. This does not feel as clean as a pils. It is very powdery and leaves me trying to lick the roof of my mouth clean.

22 oz. bottle pours a golden yellow, semi-cloudy. Generous creamy head that leaves thick lacing...liking the looks of this one. Good carbonation bubbling up the sides of the pint glass. Aroma is that of spicy hops, barley, wheat, and some pungent earthy note that I can't seem to place.
Taste is underwhelming, corn and barley malts with a decently balanced hop note. Lacks complexity, but still pretty good. The mouthfeel, on the other hand, is smoooove as shit. Immensely refreshing, plus the hoppy aftertaste as the pilsner warms leaves a nice bite. Overall, this pils lacks the complexity that I'd expect from a Rogue, but it's still easy to drink and a great beginners beer.
