Had this on-tap (though it was called Rogue Dry-Hopped Red). Very hazy reddish amber color with a thin head. Left walls of lacing all down the glass so that I couldn't see through the glass. Pretty astounding. Hops absolutely dominate the smell. There is some caramel there, but the hops want you to know that they're in charge. Taste is an unbalanced showcase of hops, though still quite enjoyable. Hops are both citrusy and piney, which is a wonderful combination. Finish is quite dry and leaves me wanting more. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, though carbonation is adequate.

Had this one a while ago and will have another for sure next chance I get.

Nice sweet smooth start with hints of a caramel flavour but it finished with a bitter slight smokey flavour. Nothing overpowering at all just a nice touch as far as I'm concerned.

I had it from a Key Keg so it may have poured slightly "flatter" than a traditional keg.

Overall a great pint that I look forward to trying again.

From Jim's, no BB.

Looks the biz on the pour, with a lovely fluffy two to three finger head, but after that all downhill.

Aromas are malt mainly, but the taste is just, erm, not nice. Dry hopped I guess means a dry dry tasting beer, which just does not suit this palate. It's thin and watery, too.

How else can you score a beer, if you genuinely do not actually like the taste??.

Maybe it's the yeast...

Appearance: A hazy, orange red.
Smell: Honey. Smokey.
Taste: Odd, almost hollow, except for the bitter aftertaste that hits the back of the tongue.
Mouthfeel: --

With each drink the smell of honey took over the taste but subsided once the bitter settled in on the back of the tongue. It's an interesting brew and worth a try; not one of the best of Rogue's lineup. Enjoyable, but I wouldn't get it again.

Pours a translucent red with good head and lacing.

Smell is the typical American Amber honey-on-buttered-toast character. And that trademark honeycomb. Perhaps some tropical hop behind that.

Taste is the same. Watery and not too bitter.

Decent, but I feel I want more aroma hops, more body and more bittering hops.

I feel this is superseded even by local takes on the style (Wayward, Riverside).
