A: Pours a deep, dark brown color with a shallow, light tan head that leaves some nice lacing.
S: The nose has hints of cocoa beans, roasted malts and some molasses.
T: The taste has some roasted malts upfront, along with a slight chocolate flavor that sticks around for a while. There is an oaky flavor mid drink as well and it finishes with more roasted flavor with a slightly dry finish.
M: Full bodied with little carbonation, smooth chocolate and roasted mouthfeel throughout.
D: Drinks very smooth, lots of roasted and chocolate flavor prevalent with slight oak characteristics due to the barrel aging. Overall this is a good beer, not excellent but a nice offering.
