Pours clear golden beer with excellent white head, lingering for a very long time and leaving lots of laces. Nicve floral hops aroma, good part of salty malts. Taste is actually bitter: malt into somewhat citrusy and mineral body with great hop final accord. Good carbonation and medium body.

A - Spot on for the style, clear bright yellow in color with a full half inch of sticky white head.
S - Somewhat skunky with an herbal hop note and some cracker like malts.
T - Not really loving this something about it tastes off, skunked off. It's like a cracker like sour dough taste mid palate. Finish is great with some herbal hops.
M - Can't bash the mouthfeel it's light, somewhat refreshing, and crisp.
Overall I guess I like my Pilsners more malt forward with less skunked lager or pilsner yeast. Still not bad for the $1.75 I paid for it.

I bought a case of this at an insanely low price--never heard of it, but had to jump on it. As it turns out, a wise move.
Appearance: It pours a slightly hazy blonde with a fine dense cloudy white head that stays on and leaves lacing.
Smell: Invitingly strong malty Teutonic notes that ends with a bit of spicy, almost peppery hop finish.
Taste: Sweet malt and just as the nose told you; a peppery hop sizzle at the very end.
Mouthfeel: Very light.
Overall: Very satisfying. This is a great German Pilsener--a perfect example of what a Pilsener should taste like. One day when I take my dream beercation to Germany I'll be pouring a lot more of this stuff down my neck.

A- pours a straw yellow. nice head with excellent retention
S- spicy hops and a little salt. cracker-like malt
T- light malt up front with some spiciness from the hops following directly after. salt adds some twang that enhances the hops. crackery grain in the end. is "crackery" a word? TOO LATE
O- nicely done by weltenburger. interesting brew

A - Clear straw coloured body, with two fingers of glowing white head which hangs around for the duration, nice lacing.
S - Mild grassy hops, salty malt and citrus.
T - Follows the nose with a touch more intensity, a pretty typical German pils character of dry cracker malt, some lemon and grassy hops.
M - Thin body, high carbonation. Refreshing.
O - Crisp and clean, lacking a little in character but it's an easy drinking warm weather guzzler and it does that well.

A classic German Pils.
Very clear, light yellow hue, pours with a huge white head, great retention & lacing.
Strong Saaz aroma... very steelie and metallic, floral, with a bit of lemon zest. Hints of fresh sour dough bread.
The hops are upfront and linger as well. Bitterness is somewhat restrained. Floral hopping has a steelie mineral quality with a hint of lemon zest. Refreshing sour dough bread from the malt. No sulfur or diacetyl... very clean.
Light to moderate body has a slight acidity and a very crisp finish.
Very drinkable and an excellent example of the style.

A: Straw yellow colored body, 1 finger head displays decent retention and some lacing.
S: Noble hops are dominant, also some sweet malt in there.
T: Sweet malts with the crisp noble hop finish, a nice clean flavor.
M: Very light and refreshing, easy drinking german pilsner. Medium to high carbonation.
O: Very drinkable pils, certainly not the best, nothing unique here.. but I'd have a few.

It pours a hazy, pale, golden colour with a nice foamy head on top.
Some light caramel notes are present in the aroma. There is a nice crisp kind of grainy smell going on in the background too.
The flavour is kind of mild. Grainy up front and slightly sweet with some fruity/toffee notes coming through. Nice hops come through in the background.
Overall, this isn't doing much for me. It's an okay beer, but quite forgettable

A - mostly clear straw golden, fluffy white head retained nicely
S - strong leafy, slightly metallic, herbal, and grainy
T - classic clean leafy hop flavour, light herb and pepper notes, mineralish, and grainy malt
M - light, crisp, and clean with a medium dry finish
O - has all the characteristics of a crisp dry pilsner with a little more oomph on the hops, this would make a great session beer

Appearance: A great looking pils, with a fluffy white head that sits atop the clear golden liquid; both retention and lacing were good
Smell: Bready, with a vague noble hop character
Taste: Bready, up front, with a developing faintly grassy character that progresses through the finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with crisp carbonation
Overall: Probably great on the home shores but by the time it gets here, who knows how long it has been around; lacks the hoppy bitterness I would like to have seen; still, a decent example of the style

This one pours a lightly cloudy tinged bright gold in color with a bright one finger head. It smells of pilsner malts and like butter. What is it with me and finding beers with a diacetyl issue. At least with this one it isn't overpowering, it's just noticeably there. Perhaps this bottle is too old to feature any hops. The flavor is of sweet and salty pale malts. The butter comes through just enough but it doesn't ruin this one. It drinks pretty smoothly and is what I'd call medium in body, and isn't as light as most pilsners. This one is just ok in my opinion.

Poured from 16.9 ounce bottle into pilsner glass.
A - very pale and slightly hazy straw color with a small, but robust and long-lasting head refreshed from continuous bubbling up the glass; impressive amounts of lacing remain throughout the session
S - the aroma is not especially strong, but it has a very pleasing bready or cereal grain character
T - on the front end, there is an unfamiliar (to me, at least) and slightly malty flavor, but the beer finished with a good bitterness and leaves a touch of the malt sweetness
M - despite the steady flow of bubbles, there is surprisingly little 'zip' from the carbonation and the beer is silky smooth (almost too much so), and it is just sticky enough for the flavor to linger from sip to sip
O - the Weltenburger Pils is very tasty and a pleasing beer to drink quickly and en masse.

Slightly opaque bright gold with a stone white, rocky head. Nice retention and lace. Smell is yeast, white grape, lemongrass, mild hop. Taste is clean, slightly bitter, malty, and a good clean bitter dry finish. Tastes spot-on for the style. Refreshing medium carbonation and just the right stickiness. VERY drinkable and classic pilsner. Love this one as well as their Barock Hell.

A: Golden-bees wax coloring with a brilliant clarity and a light effervesce. A creamy bone colored head dissipates quickly leaving a spotty lacing which was sparse on coverage.
S: Grainy nose, fresh barley, some wet hay and semi-dry lemons.
T: For flavor there was a good presence of lemony hops that wets the whistle against a strong grainy backbone. A bit of wet hay, grainy pils malts that was exceptionally clean in taste. Dry lemon pulp and a light dry hay finish rounds out a grainy pils that was very good of style.
M: Grainy and good feel, easy carbonation while leaving a grainy and semi-dry lemon pulp hopping behind.
D: Very clean flavor, grainy with a nice level of hops off the tongue that wets the whistle for more. The way a good pils should taste, case worthy, definite session material.

Copped this on a recent beer run in Dirty Jers.
Pours and extremely pale, almost clear golden yellow color with a three finger soapy, pillowy white head that has good retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap. Sporadic chunks of lacing left behind.
Very earthy aroma with lots of soily floral hops, grass, straw and faint light fruit. The nose is dominated by the grassy, dirty notes but there is some faint apple and pear as well as some substantial pilsner malt.
Thin bodied with a flavor profile that is very similar to the aroma. Slghtly watered down with a decent pilsner malt backbone that adds a bit to the mouthfeel. Slightly dry and very earthy with hints of dirt and soil which are countered by subtle notes of crisp light fruit and a decent hop bite. Subtle bitterness with hints of grass, straw and apple. This beer was a bit better than I expected based on appearance and aroma but it was still a bit pedestrian. Decent but probably not something that I would seek out again.

Clean, bright flavor, lemony, nice grain, dry finish, great carbonation. Quite delicious, in fact. The color is hazy straw, the head is pretty thin. But on most other counts it scored high. I recently had a Pilsner Urquell, and this is far better. The mouthfeel scores the highest on the BA scale for me (4.5): creamy, nice carbo bite, satisfying, clean aftertaste, and the aforementioned dry finish. Light enough to be refreshing, but heavy enough to pack some great flavor. Very good beer.

A very traditional pilsner. Its quite refreshing. Appearance is nice with a slight cloud. Smell is pleasant reminding you of fresh hops before a brew. Taste is clean, very enjoyable. The carbonation was spot on for me. A great pilsner in a sea of imitations.

Pours a clean, pale yellow color with a small white head. In the aroma, small skunk and standard European pilsner. In the taste, a small skunk, dry malt, and a grittiness. A small bie and a light bodied mouthfeel, with a light, dry standard European lager. Standard, nothing exciting, its just OK.

A: Very pale color suggests that this brew didn't undergo decoction/extended boil/some combination of the both. It has great clarity and head formation/retention, but is lacking in the lacing department. Even with the help of the laser etching on my perfect pint, this brew just can't muster up some lacing.
S: Bouquet is gentle, but significant, with heavy notes of sweet malt, yeasty sulphur, and a touch of Saaz.
T: Refreshingly dry, with a good malty roundness, sulphurous yeast bite, and spicy saaz. Delicious, but the harmony is a bit off between the flavors.
M: light body, but not watery. There is a certain fullness that brings this brew together. There is also a great torrent of carbonation on the palate.
D: A well-made pils for sure, but it isn't going to be winning any awards. Nonetheless, I love a good pils, and this definitely fits the bill. Great brew for sitting by the pool on a lazy Sunday.

From a tall 500 ml brown bottle. Pours out a clear pale gold with a tall tight foamy white head with impressive retention.
Light spicy grassy hops on the nose with faint grains in the background.
The flavour starts out clean, grainy malt finishing with light spicy hops, though not as clean in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is light, however the brisk carbonation makes up for that, providing a crisp texture throughout.
It may be an issue from transport that this Pils loses its lustre around the finish rather than remaining clean the whole way. Other than that its worth checking out.

A new arrival in Alberta, just in time for the hard stop that is the end of our summer...
This beer pours a slightly hazy medium straw colour, with two fingers of thick foamy white head, which renders some nice consistent hanging lace around the glass as it dissipates. Its smells of sweet white grain, lemon, and floral, soapy, grassy hops. The taste is crisp, crackery white malt, and herbal, grassy hops. The carbonation comes in a bit south of average, the body medium weight, solid, and quite smooth. It finishes clean, and fairly dry, the grassy, herbal hops in the forefront.
Pretty bang-on for the style - crisp, clean, and with a nice herbal bitterness. Prost!

Nice, crisp German pils. Straw coloured, with a light, fluffy two fingered head. Refreshing, grassy hop smell and sweet toffee-ish, bready malts. A little dry on the finish.
Good carbonation, crisp and refreshing. Serve near 0 and this makes a great thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Picked up a single at Abe's. After pouring the beer, I had to give it a few minutes for the skunk (thanks green bottle) to dissipate. Basically there was a tasty lemony-herbal hop flavor over semi-dry bread grains. It's always nice to find a tasty German pils and this was a pleasure to drink. I'll have another.

Poured from 500mL bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: light golden, crystal-clear body with lots of apparent effervescence. Head is three fingers of frothy white foam. A great-looking Pils.
Smell: nice malt aroma with a little grain; this also has a great fruity quality. Pears, hay, a little apple; this is one swingin' Pilsner. It almost smells like a light tripel.
Taste: crisp, fruity, light, just a hint of floral hops and just on the nice side of bitter. Flavor profile tracks well with the aroma. This is a pretty darn tasty beer.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a nice level of carbonation. A nice creaminess, especially for the style.
Drinkability: its lightness, combined with its very good flavor and aroma, make this one of the most drinkable beers I've ever had.
