On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt.

Crystal clear pale gold with a finger of sticky head that leaves scattered lacing.

Malty, creamy aroma. Doughy bread, little perceptible hop character. Lightly sweet, very clean.

So quaffable, clean and balanced. It's sweeter and lighter than Weltenburger's Barock Hell, though it's ultimately still a dry and crisp beer. Doughy pils malt steals the show, but there's a touch of grassy hop flavor, faint sulfur from the yeast. Finishes exceptionally clean, neither dry nor sweet. At the risk of abusing the word, it really is one of the most clean helles lagers I've tried. I'm not sure that I like it quite as much as the more dry and bitter Barock Hell, but it's an awesome beer all the same.

11.2oz bottle coded 088M0915 (whatever that means) poured into a becher glass at 47° Fahrenheit 4.9% ABV per label. This beer is not labeled as Urtyp, but simply Hell on the label. The beer pours bright light golden yellow with off white head. The head is short lived and settles to a pencil thin ring and a patchwork of tiny bubbles. Sparce lacing. The aroma is mild with sweet and floral notes. The taste is old, oxidized, flat, slightly sweet malt. Mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with above average carbonation and a dry, minerally finish. Overall, not great. Glad I only bought one.

500 ml bottle, as Weltenburger Kloster Hell, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.9%. Clear and pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of floral hops, some grain in the background. The flavour is slightly citric with moderate floral and herbal hops.

Pours a clear straw yellow color with a medium top off white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of grains, hay, straw, grass, light bread allong with some slight lemon and honey notes.
The taste is medium sweet with grassy and herbal notes allong with some light malt notes. The finish is slightly bitter with some earthy hop notes. Crisp and clean mouthfeel with a medium carbonation and a medium body. An easy drinking and refreshing helles, but you sure find better examples of this style.

Pours a bright golden, slightly hazed golden color with a huge, stable white head.

Smells of a subtle combination of wheat, wet grass, toffee and fresh crushed grains.

Has a light and very refreshing mouthfeel with a high, yet fitting carbonation level.

Tastes of mellow bread dough, wheat and a profound, strawy, toffee quality, which inherits a subtle impression of dryed grass. Finishes sweeter, with more toffee cutting through, while the hops turn equally drier and therefore remain recognizable till the end.

Very nice, drinking super easy with a well pronounced maltiness, well balanced with the subtle hops.

Served in a pint glass from a can.

Appearance: Gold color with medium bubbles on the body. White head maybe quitarte of an inch off the body.

Smell: Hope and light malts. Comes off an easy scent and but not that I dulling scent.

Taste: Smooth hops, easy to drink brew.

Mouth: Not sticky but very thirst quenching feel.

Overall: Beer three of my advent calendar and definitely not my favorite style of beer but still a product worth picking up.

Received this in a beer advent calendar. Great head, slow dissipation. No real aroma to speak of, but gave no indication of the flavor. The taste was mild and smooth, minimal bitterness. Clean taste and nice mouthfeel. Good beer.

From Hipercor. In Bavaria glass. At dinner, after futsal match, with chicken steaks and soup with potatoes and chickpeas. Dont know if its because of the exercise, but Ive really enjoyed it. Very drinkable and with a balanced and pleasant nose and taste. At the level of their superb pilsner.
