Being one of the only places in Aurora to score some craft beer, I guess you could say the Heinen's on North Chillicothe is decent.

The selection is not very wide, but does include over 40 offerings, including the requiset Chimay and Arrogant Bastard. They support the local Great Lakes brews; but so does the gas station across the street; and for 50 cents less a six-pack.

The staff are friendly and approachable, but predictably ignorant. Most of the beer is on the shelf, with macros taking up about half the cooler area. The issue of refrigeration with regard to quality doesn't bother me much anyway, since ALL beer is shipped warm on trucks anyway.

Grocery stores are responding to the increasing demand for craft beer and quickly becoming the best place to find high-end beer at low prices. However, this store has not yet conformed to the new market.

This store has really improved it's selection over the past few years. Along with many local Ohio breweries represented (Great Lakes, Thirsty Dog, Indigo Imp, Brewkettle to name a few), you will also find Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn Brewery, Troegs, Founders, Bell's, and Flying Dog beers.

They also have a section called "The Top 40 Beers We Love" that changes every couple of months to keep things fresh.

The staff seems friendly and very knowledgeable. This is the best place I have found to buy beer in Aurora.

This is a nice grocery store!

Being a visitor to the area, I stopped in here because I saw it mentioned on Beerfly. Not the kind of place that you can browse for long, since the beer selction is kind of light. They do have a boatload of wines however. I was happy to see some Southern Tier sixpacks, picked up a Phin and Matt's. And also grabbed a 4-pack of Northcoast's Old Stock Ale. Really besides Great Lakes and a nice little display rack of Chimay I didn't see anything else worth grabbing.

It's nice to know you can get some good beer along with your groceries, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this place. Aurora Spirits is 5 minutes away and has a much better selection.
