I carried this bottle home with me from a trip to the UK back in January. I poured it into an English pub glass.
Appearance: Poured a light golden color, with about one finger of a bubbly, white head, which quickly disappeared and left no lacing. Very little carbonation.
Smell: Once the ale had warmed a bit, mostly sweet, with candied fruit being foremost in the signature, followed by a slight hoppiness.
Taste: Mild, very little malt, with a wave of bitterness and citrus in the finish.
Mouthfeel: A bit thin -- this is not a chewy beer.
Drinkability: Being such a mild ale, with only a little bitterness, you could drink this one all night (I'm speaking for those in the UK, since I've not found this one in the US yet).

Clear bright gold with lumpy white head.
Big MO butterscotch with some musty grain and overripe yellow apple.
Peardrop, shortbread and peach with mild spice and lemon peel hops.
Marmalade finish and cedar linger.
Light to medium, round, slight cling.
Fruit over butter, doesn't cloy and has a spicy baseline. It's a bit watery, though, and there's some depth missing in the middle. Not my kind of thing, but balanced and well done.
Better than expected.

500ml can poured into pint glass 16/1/13
A clear golden yellow with tiny bubbles popping up from everywhere, nice tight two finger bone white foam has great retention ending up as a pencil eraser top island and leaves lots of lace deep down the glass
S honey, sweet malts, slight herbal notes, fruit I can't pinpoint and some faint metallic notes in the background , not a whole lot going on but respectable
T butterscotch and its even sweeter then the nose, earthy yeast and again its rather simple but decent
M thin but it creams up from the bubbles, bread and caramel linger on the finish
O nothing to be ashamed of and nothing to write home about, another basic English Pale
I just don't get all that excited for most English styles, there's nothing wrong with it but its just a little boring.

Appearance- Pours a pale caramel colour with a finger width of frothy white head.
Smell- grains, bready malts, slight leafy hops, light butteriness.
Taste- Similar as to the ingredients in the aroma: grains, bready malts, leafy hops, slight buttery flavour. There seems to be a tinge of metallic taste in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall - An easy drinking EPA by Badger Brewery. Nothing really noteworthy with this one.

With a town name like "Blandford Saint Mary" it's amazing that anything exciting comes out of it, what could be more boring than 'Bland'? Church of course, and 'Saint Mary' is no doubt a boring Catholic who went to church. So it comes as no surprise that Badger Brewery, Hall and Woodhouse ales are not exciting either... well at least the Fursty Ferret wasn't and I'm working my way slowly through the others with today's drop being Tanglefoot.
Poured from a 500ml bottle into a nonic pint.
A: Slightly cloudy amber body with a half centimetre bonemeal head that retains well.
S: Sweet biscuit malts with a hint of bread yeast, honey and floral hops. Bit of an earthy smell in there as well, like dug up dirt, I noticed this in the Fursty Ferret and pinned it down to a hops characteristic however I may have been wrong - it could be due to cask-conditioning or something similar.
T: Really malt driven ale, and the big flavour upfront is sweet biscuit malts (almost a vanilla cookie flavour coming through), bread yeast is a hint in the middle and it finishes with some light floral hops and the accompanied bitterness. It's quite sweet for an English Pale Ale, almost as sugary as a Belgian Dubbel, whether this is a good or bad thing is really up to the drinker.
M: Mid to light body with minimal carbonation - total EPA style here.
D: Well first up its better than the Fursty Ferret (which it seems is a watered down version of Tanglefoot). Quite drinkable, though sweet for an EPA, but a tad on the expensive side compared to other ales from "Old Blighty", of which I think the Hook Norton brews really shine price/quality-wise. Caveat emptor.
Food match: For an ale as sweet as this I would recommend either a likewise sweet main; like duck l'orange, Chinese honey chicken or lemon chicken. Dessert could work as well; lemon or sticky date pudding, all good choices.

500ml can, 5% ABV. Nice little story on the label about the origins of the name, particularly the unfamiliar to me usage of the word 'steering'.
This beer pours a clear, medium golden amber colour, with three near-teeming fingers of silken creviced marshmallow head, which settles at an agreeable pace, leaving some chunky webbed lace around the glass.
It smells of sweet biscuity malt, a pleasant generic fruitiness, a suggestion of natural vanilla, a bit of fresh yeast, and soft leafy, earthy hops. The taste is bready, doughy malt, some soft nutty caramel, a middling drupe fruity character, and fading earthy hops.
The carbonation is quite mild and ineffectual, the body a sturdy medium weight, and accordingly smooth in its bearing. It finishes still rather sweet, the malt and ride-along fruit continuing to hold all the cards.
Not too shabby an EPA, a fair bit going on with the morphing malt and shadowy fruit, not to mention the underappreciated workaday noble hops, and nose-to-the-window alcohol. I'd throw this back again, preferably at pub, where I could reenact the titular, um, 'move'.

this is the best of the badger brewery ive tasted, ive had 4 or 5 of there beers and there all nice but this ones the best.
nice dirty blond color almost brown, with 1.5 finger of head, leaves nice lace marks as you drink it.
smells yeasty as soon as you open it, i could smell it from my waist hight like more than two feet from my nose. lost of bready wheat smell.
nice weighty mouthfeel with lots fruity complexity, some apple some citrus, some sour green grapes, lots of fruityness, my favotie part of this beer is the malty yeasty taste, tastes like a pastry.
best beer ive had form this popular ale brewery, buy tangle foot before the other ones.

Dark amber in colour with a creamy thumb sized white head.Very little in the way of reduction in size over the course of a few minutes.
Muted fruity aroma to begin with and a hint of subdued hops although the fruity notes really start to open up once the drink has time to settle in the glass. There is a sugary sweetness to this one, perhaps aided slightly by the fruit and I can also detect some vanilla in places.
Fruity & very sweet to begin with along with a hint of vanilla that the smell indicates would be present. I can also taste some faint toffee and a sugary, malty flavour; all of which is well balanced.
Medium bodied and with a creamy feel to it. This is quickly followed by a clean finish that is a little bitter and quite dry.
A solid beer that scored slightly higher than I was expecting from it without it being truly memorable. It's not a beer that I come across all that often but I would have no trouble drinking it again or perhaps giving it a bash on cask.

pours a golden body with a thick lovely white head.
Strong aroma can't pin them all down but there is brewers mash, burn't toast, melons and pear drops.
Pear drops appear in the taste then malts and peppery snarls lead into hoppy aftertaste but all fairly top flavours not much depth
rescued by a nice firm mouthfeel and good low carbonation.
Alright but nowt special I guess.
