Update to a review I did almost a decade ago:
There are "brewpubs" and then there's Vino's. It is the exact opposite of the too-fancy-yuppity suburban brewpub. It is in an obscure part of downtown Little Rock, far away from the River Market district. Bohemian, casual, almost divey but It's a cool looking old building with a pressed tin ceiling. Be warned, this is not a fancy impress-your-date place at all. You order at the counter just like in a little NY pizza shop. Back room is a popular place for live alternative/rock/folk music, poetry and theater. Patio and deck in the rear overlooks the KTHV parking lot and weather garden where TV star Joey the Garden Cat stays. Vino's best offerings are the food: unbelievable NY style pizza and calzones. The brewhouse is viewable and looks like serious business. Very good house brews come from the professional brewing system. I recommend Lazy Boy Stout, even to those who don't drink stouts. Pinnacle IPA is another well made beer.
Anyway, Vino's is a must-do in Little Rock if you like good beer and great pizza. For out-of-towners, one trip to Vinos will shatter your preconceptions about the 'Rock.
One tiny complaint: Fer pete's sake, re-pave the parking lot!
(But due to the superb quality of the food and drink, all is forgiven.)

One of favorite places to go in Little Rock, I love to just go hang out for a few hours and try their different brews. Very casual atmosphere and the pizza is great. If the imperial stout is available you have to try some. The pizza margherita is awesome.

What most would call a "dive bar" I guess, but that's a good thing here. When you walk in the front door you have to get in line to place an order, which can be a bit annoying and sometimes take a bit of time, but it's worth it really. The pizzas and calzones are top notch as are their house brews. They do carry other decent craft beers, but go here for the house stuff. They're always making their standards and usually have something special as well, sometimes in a cask. The quality of beer is the best in town in my opinion, although there are only a couple of other choices at this point. The prices on both the food and beer can make it a nice inexpensive visit usually as well.

Vino's is a total hole in the wall. If you don't like a hole in the wall, then don't go here. But if you like a low-key place with good pizza and good local brews, then this place is great. The place is in an old building near a tattoo shop and a firehouse (which lends to the name to one or two of their brews). As you walk in, there is a order counter where you can order your food and your beer. The place has great calzones and good pizza and even better prices. I can get out of the place with two beers and two NY slices for like 12 bucks after tip. They have a few beers that seem to be year round offerings (a pale, an IPA, a cream ale, a porter, a stout) that all offer names associated with the local area of little rock. In the years I've lived here, they've also produced several interesting offerings such as a steam ale, a scotch ale, and a oatmeal brown. Most of the beers are solid offerings. They may not win gold at GABF, but they're certainly not watered down mass produced Shock Top either. I definitely think it has better overall beer than Diamond Bear, the big brother of the city. The only qualm I would have is that you have to order at the counter. If it's not busy, the servers will offer to get them, but when it gets round on a Friday, you almost always have to go to the counter which is sometimes super slow when you get the people who stand in line for 30 minutes yapping and texting and then look up at the menu confused when they get to the front. The price and the quality of the brew and the food will keep me coming back till I move away.

The place is as close to any hole-in-the-wall Seattle brewpub as I have found yet in LR. Atmosphere here is perfect- hipster Bohemia (as much as I love to loathe them it is nice to see normal here), urban professional, family type mix all in one existing. Worn hardwood floors stretch from one end of this low slung building to the other, the cashier/place order spot is literally right in front of the door, and a choke point for traffic. Coffee-house bad art, and brew house logos scatter the walls. The brew house is viewable from the adjoining room/hall; it is rather small, about the slightly smaller in size than Big Time Brewing in Seattle. The scent of pizza, patchouli, and designer cologne mingle in the humid air- I love it. Mellow indie music plays in the background of buzzed chatter. The pizza is so-so, and it took 10 minutes to get a slice; not very warm, lacking in inspiration and flavor, ingredients look like they were the cheapest available. Beer is good, quite tasty which is surprising after being let down by Other local offerings. Despite short comings, this place is more than decent.

This is what a brewpub should be, to me. Fancy decor is nice and might impress me, sure. Crazy interesting beers; also make me happy. But what makes me most happy is a bunch of people coming together to just do their thing.
A beat the hell up location with creaking floors that have a bounce to them that makes me wonder when one of the employees is going to tear by and fall through. Pizza was good; especially considering where we're at. Beer was good too. Service was a little distant at first, but I left a whopping $4 tip which seemed to impress someone, so they were my new friend. Note to Little Rockers - an extra $1 can go a very long way. A very long way.
I was happy to be able to hit this place up when I did. I would return in the future, and it'd be cool if I could bring a bunch of friends instead of the huge truck I was driving.

Stopped in, while in Little Rock on business. It's a quaint building in town which tends to give it some character. First impression was a pizza joint that happens to serve decent beers. There are other choices of pub grub besides the pizza.
Service was friendly and they seemed to know a bit about what they had on tap. They have about 5 taps for their own beer and a number of taps for "guest brews". I stuck with the local offerings and was pleasantly surprised. My favorite of the beers I tried was the Firehouse Pale Ale. If you are ever in town and have some time check it out.

This place definitely had a brewpub vibe... evident when I had to find the bathroom which was called wankers. I did a sampler and all were ok but not great with one exception. I really liked the Oatmeal Brown, a combination I'm unsure I've experienced before. The oatmeal flavors were present, but not with the thicker characteristics of a stout. I didn't try the food, although normally I would have because it smelled very good (intended to stick to southern BBQ the whole trip). Service and selection were both ok, and if you're in the area and looking for something craft it could be worth a stop. However despite that it is in the middle of a region lacking in craft, it would not measure up for me in other areas of the country... but I do see effort and promise here.

Drove in from Memphis looking over the flood devastation along the way. I’m dumbfounded, I’ve never seen anything like this before. Mostly lakes that aren’t lakes but rather fields under water with partially submerged houses dotting the landscape as far as the eye can see, and roads running alongside the highway that just disappear to nowhere into the water. Shocking disbelief. Made for a crappy ride down to Little Rock, but it’s done and we’re here. Lunch at Vino’s, a quick drop at the hotel, and then we’ll deal out this not-a-wedding thing...
Funny little building on the corner that’s been a bunch of things since Muswick 1909. Clearly, some of the vintage accents still exist. Brewing equipment in the front window, and you enter the other side. So we did. Good open space with large front windows done in house signage & neons, and ornate windows above. Gray walls with black trim, ancient floorings and an old pressed tin ceiling painted black, exposed ductwork, drop spinny fans & glass suction cup lamps alternating. Wood placards of house beer label logos or whatever, plus local art for sale, and 3 shelves of brewerania cans, growlers & pint glasses. TV’s in the corners for the looking at.
And of course, pizza counter action front row center. You belly up, tell ‘em what you want for eat and drinks, and they deliver to you tableside. Pretty straight forward. Hightop pizza counters in alternating gray & black, behind which where the pizza oven & kitchen prep be. Bundles of taps affixed in 2, 2, 4, 2, 2, 3, 2 (How many is that? A little help please) of let’s punch a few more through this wall off the cold room alongside the counter. Pitchers above the taps, pint glasses just below and growlers tucked down underneath.
It may be that the New Belgium tap handle pieces lining it are just a distraction, but to me, the tap board up front is kind of vague. It’s kind of hard to tell what’s on (and it would be nice to have pint & pitcher pricing).I also find the bottle side of the board to be a bit of a marvel; crap domestics for $2.90 (Bud & Bud Light, Miller Lite, Rolling Rock, Shiner Bock, Killian’s Red), premium domestics for $4.25 (Anchor Steam, Boulevard Pilsner, Sam Adams Noble Pils, + these ciders three; Hornsby’s, Woodchuck & Hardcore), imports for $4.50 (Becks, Corona, Heineken, Amstel Light, Red Stripe), and super premium imports for $5.25 (Chimay x3, Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout, Nut Brown & Pale Ale).
On tap, 5 house beers served sampler in small plastic cups. Firehouse Pale Ale, deep amber color, finishes with a lingering hoppiness; Six Bridges Cream Ale, a light hop presence, but not too much of that; Pinnacle IPA, the nose knows, piney, with a big hop bitterness; Scotch Ale, dark, malty, and thankfully not band-aidy; Lazy Boy Stout, roasty, oaty, silky, a bit think but still pretty tasty. None of them were mind blowing amazing but the Scotch Ale was solid (or I wouldn’t have moved to a pint of it), and the Pinnacle IPA was pretty good, too.
And currently 10 guest taps, a mix of American craft (Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat, New Belgium Fat Tire, Blue Paddle & Mighty Arrow Spring Ale, Goose Island Summer Ale), a few meh imports (Warsteiner Pils, Bass, Guinness), and fan favorite macros (PBR & Miller Lite) Marin opted for the New Belgium Mighty Arrow of doesn’t suck, after sampling from my sampler.
And now, there will be pizza. I mean, their calzones are all the talk, but they boast NY style pizza, so I figged’ I’d quality control their asses (representing, yes). Marin had a slice of vegetarian, sans olives, as they are a known ‘disgustagin’ (that which is disgusting and makes anything it touches disgusting, too). She liked that the vegetables, specifically the onions & peppers, were sliced thin for the ease of eating. I had 2 slices; one plain & the other margherita (thick cut tomatoes, a whole lot of garlic, mozzarella & parmesan, crushed basil, olive oil and no sauce). The plain was solid but the margherita was total WIN.
14 tables running from up front in the windows down adjacent to the pizza counters to the rear. Through to the side room, 7 tables and some bar counter seating ‘L’ing the brew room. And to the rear, a music venue area, long and narrow. Small L bar up front with a few raised roundies, and 2 rows of table lows running back to a stage area that has seen some action, to be sure. Yes, they have the essential pinball & Galaga for play.
Good crowd here this Saturday afternoon. A comfortable, indie, off divey, chill place, and they’ve been playing Stones tunes the whole time we’ve been here, so that doesn’t suck. I’ve gotten some good stuff but I’m holding out for ‘Time Waits For No One’. And I witnessed the filling of an 8.5 litre party pig, which is like a growler on crackle, so that’s something. Pizza jammed, and the beer was pretty good, some better than others but no total shite. We were hoping to get back here but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
