Notes:
A traditional India Pale Ale, light bodied, golden-amber in color with an intense hop aroma produced by dry-hopping during fermentation. A very tasty ale with little bitter aftertaste which makes it great on a hot day.

Served on tap to a standard shaker at the brewery on 4/2. Pours a hazy orange-red with maybe more of a copper look. There is definitely some chill haze. Allows plenty of light in. Pillows of white head on top;fair lacing overall. Smell is mostly floral and herbal hops. There is some malty sweetness, but it is muted. The taste is well done and well balanced. There is a good caramel sweetness balanced to a strong bittering. The hops flavor is a little muted but resinous. Mouthfeel is good, nice fullness and good carbonation. It gives a nice zip to the beer. It's definitely a good IPA and I will continue to partake.

Tasted on-tap 04/17/07 at Vino's Pizza Pub and Brewery in Little Rock, AR.
Nice copper color with a low off-white head. Nice citrusy grapefruit hop aromas and flavors as is typical of the style. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy with a nice bitter hop finish.
Very nicely made NW APA !

Draught @ brewery: This one pours a cloudy orangish amber color. There was a nice off-white head on it. There was a fair amount of lacing to go along with it. There was a bit of a piney hop nose, but it wasnt too strong. The taste is somewhat piney, but not overpoweringly strong. Nicely balanced malts and hops. A decent IPA.

The beer arrived at the table clear medium amber with a white long lasting head which laced the glass.
The aroma was grassy with cascade hop aroma and malt in the background. The malt aromas also contained a slight biscuit presence.
The flavor was nicely done with maltiness decidedly balanced with hop bittering and hop flavor. The cascade bittering and flavor really shine in this beer and are well balanced and well achieved.
The finish was dry with long lasting tongue coating hop bittering that survived long in the aftertaste. The body was just above medium and very well done.
A very nice IPA. Cheers to Bill...

Reviewed from notes taken at the brewpub. Pinnacle is copper in color with a average sized, lightly creamy head. The aroma is hoppy, but not very powerful. The taste is also very hoppy, but contains a nice balance of bitter hops and flavoring hops. The most complex and tasty of the 2 or 3 IPAs I've had. My favorite of the 4 beers I sampled today at Vino's

For an American IPA, this beer is a little shy on hops, but if you compare it to the modern IPAs coming out of the UK, it is just about right in that department. I had a sample "glass" of this brew.(it was served in translucent plastic. If you've ever seen Vino's Brewpub it would not surprise you because it is really a tiny, no-frills type of place. Luckily, pints are served in proper pint glasses.) It has a respectable tight but creamy head and a nice hop aroma and flavor. A very drinkable ale but not anything particularly outstanding. Pairs well with their sausage calzone.
