Into a U.S. pint glass. Half finger of head with a cloudy, medium straw colored body.
The smell is mild grain.
Taste is fizzy with mild bitterness balanced with a dose of malt. Simple and mild taste overall.
Moderate carbonation with a nice fizzy. Light to medium body.
Enjoyable and quite drinkable for the long-haul.

A: Served a light straw color with a small head and bits of lacing.

S: Mild aroma of malt sweetness, spice, and fresh grain.

T: Taste is similar to aroma, malt sweetness, bit of spice and grain.

F: fairly light body, smooth and creamy, with a decent balance.

O: Nice beer that goes down easy. Pleasant surprise from a small local brewer.

Tasted on-tap 04/17/07 at Vino's Pizza Pub and Brewery in Little Rock, AR.

Light golden in color with a decent off-white head. Aromas and flavors are all of soft malt and grains. Medium-light bodied.

Not bad for a pretty small brewpub. Well worth trying.

I assume this is Vino's crossover beer. It is very different from most "blonde crossover brewpub ales" in that it does not try to imitate B/M/C in any way, except for hue. It is a pale golden color, but that is where the similarities stop. Unlike fizzy, bland blondes, it is often served with low carbonation, forms a nice dense head, a bit hazy, has a smooth, creamy mouthfeel (quite literally a cream ale), a comforting touch of hop character, and the slightly fruity "yeast signature" that is perceptible in all of Vino's brews. Six Bridges is a well balanced, easy drinking thirst quencher/session brew. Personally, it lacks a lot of the flavor I usually seek when I spend my money on craft beer. For what it is though, it is good. Sure beats buying a skunky, overpriced import or a Bud/Miller/Coors. A glass of this brew is not only easygoing, it can be useful. It helps to wash the palate between tastings.
