Poured from the bottle into a Hoegaarden witbier glass.
A heavily shocking white and soapy head. Falls very quickly with lots of sudsy snapping carbonation sounds. Hazy yellow and large cola bubbles sticking to the glass. Lots of rising large bubbles. Cider appearances. Somewhat ok, but not that appetizing.
Large spiced nose, but also a good sense of bile and vomit character. A bit of ick. A bit of pith and bitter orange. Feels a bit off kilter.
Palate improves considerably on first sip. Juice orange body with a sharp spice. A bit wet though even for a witbier with Tang like finish and depth. A real nice bready white malt action, with a hint of toast on the finish. Light sweetness makes it way slowly, giving to a very light honey character.
Overall this has some good qualities but not all the pieces are there for me to desire it again.

22 oz bottle from Roth’s Sunnyside store in deepest S.Salem. $3.99 Can see some pretty good sediment through the glass at the bottom of the bottle. Bright hazy yellow beer with a nice bubbly off white head. Slightly spicy ,peppery aroma with a bit of dough and slight barnyard aspect. Very pleasing taste..mostly very spicy and black pepper, some bubblegum and clove also very authentic. Also quite authentic in the mouthfeel department..bubbly,fizzy and with a dry finish. Bravo very nicely played Pelican.

3oz taster pour
Enjoyed at brewpub 9/3/12
A: This is hazy as hell. Light yellow color. You get a ring of bright white for a head.
S: For the nose, I pulled lots of banana, bubble gum, juicy fruit. Also the spicy character you'd expect.
T: The taste follows, coriander and clove slice in tongue. You get that Belgian yeast banana/gum flavor. There is low bitterness. Nice crisp dry finish
M: It's light to medium body.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a tall wheat glass. Brought back from the NABA Competition.
A: Mostly clear light orange color. Aggressive pour leads to a ginormous fluffy cotton colored head that fades ever so slowly and leaves plenty of lacing.
S: First hit of the nose is the coriander and orange followed by some clove smell and hints of banana as well as other unidentifiable (by me) spices. Oat, wheat and malt combination make for a nicely zippy-sweet smelling beer.
T: Follows the nose directly with the orange making its appearance towards the end of the taste. Definite tones of spices and orange, banana seems to only be in the smell as it is nowhere to be found in the taste.
M: Creamy, yet fizzy feel. Really lifts off the tongue.
O: Really well done wit. I liked that it wasn't too cloudy but not clear either. No need to add orange to this one as it is perfectly citrusy all on its own.

Golden yellow with a Viagra carbonation.
Bready/raw dough notes laced with coriander.
Fruity, orange peel, green apple, tart and very effervescent.
nothing over powering just a great balance.
Great finish, just enough flavor to make you want more and nothing hanging out to long.
