I stumbled upon this place quite by accident. I was buying a pizza with a few non BA friends at the restaurant next door, and decided to stop in. It looks like any run of the mill liquor store from the outside. I figured they would be mostly macro with a few of the common craft offerings (Sam, Sierra, etc.). I was excited just to see a Dogfish Head sign in the window.

When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was a display table with Harpoon Triticus and some good imports on it. Then I saw all the shelves. Probably 4 large shelves completely filled with craft bottles. The craft selection pretty much dominated the store. The craft bottles run the gamut between the usual solid, common offerings and the special releases and rarities. The setup of this place is such that it lends itself perfectly to the mix-a-sixer. For a place this size, this is pretty much as good of a selection as you can get.

Quality is fine. The store is clean, well set up, and I didn't notice any dusty or expired beer. The service is pretty great. The staff is friendly and more than willing to help the novice drinker pick out some great starter beers, and can strike up a good conversation with the experienced beer drinker as well. The prices seem pretty reasonable, from what I can tell. I don't know what the beer prices tend to be in RI since I don't spend a lot of time there, but they seemed about right to me. I definitely didn't get ripped off.

This is a great little liquor store, and from what I've heard, pretty much your best bet in Providence. Highly recommended.

Stopped in here this past Sunday afternoon with my wife and my brother. We have wanted to check this place out ever since we found out it's right up the street from my grandparents' house. Looks small when you first walk in. I was expecting more of a warehouse look. There are three shelves of beer to choose from for the mix-a-six deal, which is why we came. There is a whole section fro American, then a whole shelf for Belgian, and a third side for German and others. Selection was pretty good, but not as mind blowing as some of the reviews on BA make it sound. We each picked out a six pack of randoms and were given a 10% discount at checkout, which was cool. Prices were decent, as most US bottles were $2 give or take 25 cents. Good place to check out if you like the mix packs, as I do. It's a great way to try loads of different beers without investing in a whole sixer. I wish more places offered a deal like Nikki's.

Crazy huge selection; seriously, its dumbfounding. My partner has to tap her foot the whole time and drag me out of there. I'm used to liquor stores having a large amount of typical craft brews and maybe three dusty gems past their prime. Nikki's on the other hand is immaculate, i've never gotten a bad bottle, and they have a huge stock of brewers i've never heard of before. Nice staff too, you can tell they get a lot of nerds who stand around for a while letting out gasps at regular intervals.

I'm not sure on their prices as no other stores nearby carry the same beer. They do say that they try to maintain competitively prices and their mix-a-six deal does save me some monetary pain.

I will be back there to get my keg on Friday!

Thanks to TheManiacalOne for bringing me here.
Dear god - this place is insane! What a phenomenal variety and great prices!
From the outside, this place looks relatively small. I was a bit skeptical of the beer variety and quality, but TheManiacalOne would never steer me wrong. When you walk in the beer section is in the middle of the store - roughly three decent sized aisles with the caps of the aisles filled with beer, and a display with still more beer. The quality, and variety here is ridiculous! Fabulous belgian and german sections. Nice array of imports - Mikkeller, Cantillon, De Dolle (snagged the last bottle of Oerbier Special Reserva 2008), Fonteinen, Baird, Ayinger, Aecht Schlenkerla . Domestic - Ithaca (excelsior series), Jolly Pumpkin, Stone, Thirsty Dog, DFH, Rogue, Geary's, Sebago, Newport Storm, Flying Dog, and many, many, many more.
Staff didn't talk to us till we were ringing out, but I was having too much fun making decisions anyway. I need to hit this place AGAIN! So much that I can't snag in MA.

This place is a beer drinkers store. Not only do they have a lot of beer on the shelves (they have 3.5 fifteen foot long shelves), but the selection is grand! I like that there is a "craft beer sale" rack, and a "new arrival" rack. Even a well seasoned beer drinker will be able to find something that he/she hasn't tried yet. The staff are very knowledgable. This is no doubt the best beer store destination in RI. You can mix a six if you wish. They always have a pretty good selection of glassware and craft beer gift packs. Oh yeah, they sell this sutff called liquor and wine too!

Visited this past Saturday. Nikki's Liquors is an excellent beer store and one I would frequent often if I lived in Rhode Island. Nikki's has arguably one of the best foreign beer stocks I have ever seen. They have six shelves plus of singles/bombers to choose from. If you choose six, they will give you a ten percent discount on up to 23 bottles. On top of this the prices were already reasonable. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Not sure how this compares to other RI stores, but I did notice they had a great selection of St. Somewhere beers and several Jolly Pumpkin that I have had a hard time finding in Massachusetts. If I am ever passing through the area, this is a stop worth making.

I love this place. It's truly a gem in a state where it's not easy to find a wide selection of craft beers.

Nikki's has tastings all the time, usually once a week, and always couples it with a discount or a free this or that.

The help is great. I'm asked every time I go if I need help with everything. And they'll literally pace through the store with my friends if they don't know a whole lot about beer.

The selection is strong, I think they advertise 800 beers, and they're well organized (with BA scores and reviews on many of them!... major points). Again, this is even more impressive when you consider what the other options are in RI.

Overall a great place. If you're within 30 min or so, this has gotta be your beer store.

Owner is a knowledgeable and good all around beer lover. They've been helpful in pointing out new, interesting, and hard to find beers. Love being able to go in and mix-a-six, or 12, or 24 for an even bigger discount. A great and vast selection of local NE beers, american micros, foreign beers, and a large selection of belgians. It's hard to not find a dozen beers you'd like to take home with you. A couple of foreign beers i bought there were perhaps a bit past their prime, but overall the quality of beer has been great. One of my favorite spots in RI to go find some reasonably priced new beers to try.

I don't make it to Nikki's as much I as would like. I stopped in there today and bought the first bottle of oak aged Yeti out of there shipment. I asked about it because I saw the case on the floor unopened. Any questions and they are happy to answer and offer opinions. The mix-a-six is at a 10% discount which is par for the course in RI. There is a great selection of crafts and imports.

I also picked up a gift pack of Val-Dieu with a glass and a few Rye IPA's from Saranac and a bottle of BB from DFH.

I have to go more often. They also always have different glassware for sale or different Gift Packs with glassware than different stores out here in RI.

They definitely focus on BEER.

Didn't want to give perfect 5's but this place was close.

This place was clean, bright and well laid out.

I gave quality a 4.5 as a perfect overall score is hard to give.

They are small in away but have everything that I was looking for.

As examples found Sculpin x 2 found pannepot x 1.
Southern tier chocolat x 1.

Clerk was cool made sure I knew about the pick 6 made sure I had a carrier for my beer even gave me suggestions for some local places that I might like.

Oh yea could have spent a lot more on things like Black Albert, tons of Belgians as well as many other great craft beers !!!

I highly recommend this place. So many choices, fair pricing, and for my visit great service.
