I went here on a Friday night to check it out and to attend a Newport Storm tasting. There's decent sized wall of beer with a good selection of quality sixers and bombers: Three Floyds, Lagunitas, Unibroue, Great Divide...the usual RI stuff. A small belgian selection including Rochefort and Westmalle. Everything was clean, no dusty or old bottles that I saw. I was told Alpha King is actually selling very well, which suprised me (in a good way). More places like this offering a quality selection can only help in enlightnening the people of RI (and possibly nearby Providence College?) to the world of good beer.
They allow you to mix-a-six for 10% off which I always love and every bottle is individually priced so you know what you're getting yourself into.
Overall a quality place thats a little too far into Providence for me to visit regularly - but if you're in the area, it's definately worth a stop.
Re-Review: Its only been about a month since I've been here but they keep on improving. The wall of beer is now filled with all singles (seems to be promoting the hell out of the mix-a-six program). Excellent service too...this guy will go out of his way to get you what you're looking for. The Belgian selection is growing too - they now have Gouden Carolus, Van Steenberge, Fantôme. A great store that is getting better...well done!

Best store in Rhode Island period. They get stuff other places don't and more of what they do get. It's a small store but its got a lot to offer. Mix a six is offered with a 10% discount. Atmosphere is the only thing wrong. It's small and can get congested at times.

My first trip up to Nikki's, but will not be my last. Went in on a friday evening, quite a few customers floating around, but several employees around to help and answer questions. I was lucky enough to get the owner Mike to help me out and he me several different suggestions plus info on several different beers. He had a excellent selection out on the shelf with a good variety of different stuff. Mike did allude to a new shelf going out at some point with some vintage bottles ... Def looking forward to seeing that appear in the store.
The only thing I found a little off was the atmosphere, I don't know what struck me odd, but it def stuck on my head. Im my sure why it did, maybe it was supermarket lighting. But it def was not enough to ruin my trip there. I highly recommend a stop into the store if your in the Providence area.

I'm not a Rhode Island resident, but I visit family in the state often. Coming from Chicago, I have an appreciation for, and get excited about, finding rarities on the shelf. I visited Nikki's for the first time this past Christmas, because of the high rating. The praise this store receives is well deserved. I was very surprised to find brews on the shelf that had disappeared off of Chicago shelves within a day or two. The selection is spread thin due to the limited space, but excellent choices have been made. For these two reasons Nikki's deserves a 5 in the Selection category.
I had a brief chat with the owner, explaining I'm from out of state, but visited the store due to the high ratings it's earned. My apologies for not remembering his name, especially because of how helpful and accommodating he was. He made several recommendations and even told me about special tappings at nearby bars. Need I say more? Nikki's gets a 5 for Service.
I will be visiting this store each and every time I return to Rhode Island.

This is a place I go to regularly. I tend to get a mix-a-six of any beers I find to be interesting that I've never tried whenever I come here. There's usually a monthly beer tasting that I try to go to if something doesn't come up already.
Another good thing is they are partnered with Swipely, so anytime I make a purchase, the money value spent is converted into points on my Swipely account, which gives me money back.
The employees are friendly, always helpful, ask if I found everything I wanted. I typically spend between $18-$30 for my mix-a-six when I go.

Don't let the size of the place deceive you. They have an excellent variety of brews.Lots of local craft brews plus a variety beers from around the world. They are thin on macro-brews but is that really a bad thing? Love the Mix-a-six which is a great way for sampling different brews. It’s 10% off a mix-a-six and 20% of a case. Service has always been helpful and friendly. Only downside I see is they need more room, or maybe not?. Best thing is they are only a few minutes from my house. Nicest variety of brews I’ve seen around here.

This place is amazing. I spend most of my time in Connecticut and I am very used to paying Connecticut prices. When I am around this area I always stop in at Nikki's. They are very knowledgeable and helpful, offering to make special orders upon request for any available items. The store consists of a center table of favorite craft beers and gift packs and about 60+ feet of craft brews. They are sorted by location and brewery, but I always just go straight for the "New Arrivals" section. Overall, if you are in the area stop at Nikki's! And if you live here take advantage of their weekly tasting.
