Tried this today at the brewpub. Out of their lineup, this one and the IPA were the best.
Copper gold, racing streams trailing upwards. Delicate crown of lacing around the edges. Faint grassiness in the nose, and obligatory maltiness. Fairly subdued aroma.
Snappy crisp feel, slight grassy hop bitterness. Fresh and clean with no off flavors. Crisp crackery malt. Well carbed and easy drinking, pretty solid textbook example, with a nice and subtle hop profile.

2008 Review
The ubiquitous fall seasonal for any good brew-pub, the Flatlanders' Okto is a bright orange-amber color with a white head - that probably would have been thicker if poured a little better, but revived nicely.
Aroma had some vague DMS, but bready malts were very prominent.
Flavor was bready malts with nutty undertones; comparable to the typical American version of Oktoberfest these days. But there was a spicy hop prominence that is atypical, not anything overdone or out of balance, just more hoppy than you might expect from an Okto.
Body was a good light-medium and mouth-feel was very smooth and soft.
Drinkability was outstanding. I imagine this brew fits into the usual Okto ABV, so the drinkability can be dangerous over a few pints. Nice lager from a brew-pub -- imagine that!

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Another day, another Oktoberfest brew. This one pours a clear tawny-amber topped by a half-finger of dirty cream-white foam. The nose comprises apple cider, light cinnamon, light caramel, and sweet flowers. The taste holds notes of watered-down apple cider, light toasted caramel, light mandarin orange, very light orange rind, and a ridiculously light bit o' cocoa. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slick feel. Overall, a pretty disappointing O-Fest, one that was just far too fruity for my liking (not to mention the style...).
