Poured from a bomber with freshness date of Sept 21 2010 on the bottle. Poured into a goblet with a very generous amount of head. The only real scents here are of the wheat. Most of the flavor comes from the wheat, roasted and toasted flavors. Drinkable nature is smooth. No real blueberry flavor here just some small background sweetness. I have had this brew on draft more than once and was not all that impressed. I am glad I bought this to try in the bottle, but next time I will pass.

Well, at least it's only kinda depressed, 'cause dangerous tidings can otherwise result... Anyway, on a more positive note, beer is at hand, and it pours a clear sunrise amber topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises buttery biscuit, plastic-y blueberry syrup, and some light perfume. The taste brings in more of the same, though with more butter than berry and a light vein of banana running through the background. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a thin feel. Overall, a fairly sad little fruit beer, another morsel of proof that it's really hard to make a truly good blueberry beer.

Kinda ok. Pours with a finger and half head. Amber pale color. Transparent. A lot of bubbles rising throughout the glass.

Smell : Some faint blueberry, wheat, malty and fruity. Pretty average nose.

Taste: Very much similar to the nose. Doesn't really feel like the right kind of beer. I mean it tastes somewhat fruity and fuzzy due to high carbonation. Tastes a lot like Oktoberfest/marzen.

Light mouth feel. Easy to drink only if you like it.

I certainly won't buy it or even drink it next time. There are better beers to be savored than this.

Nose -sour blueberry, subtle sweetness
Taste - refreshing overall, not heavy. Light tasting front with with a little sour light subtle blueberry flavor on the back (similar to the nose)
Look - light to medium colored, no real head,
Mouthfeel - little effervescent on the front (too much for my preference), average feel to watery otherwise

12 oz bottle dated 27 July 2012, so a little past date but no signs of spoilage.

A: Pours a clear, amber-copper color with a small, dingy white head. Plenty of visible carbonation, both fine and coarse. The head settles quickly to a ring and partial top coat that endure and leave patches of lacing on the glass.

S & T: vague fruity aroma [3.25] I probably would not have identified as blueberry in a blind test. This fruitiness is mixed with some wheat, caramel and what smells like winter squash. The flavor is clearly blueberry and toasted grains. Overall, bitter and sweet are more or less in balance.

M: A little over-carbonated and too sharp; light bodied; slightly dry finish.

O: A rather mediocre blueberry wheat, with limited blueberry flavor and rather aggressive carbonation. In comparison to others, however, this one avoids an overdose of blueberry flavor and the more common problem of being overly sweet. [3.25]
