 BEERchitect ( Lexington, Kentucky )C+ / 3.2look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3 | feel: 2.5 | drink: 3.5 rDev: -4.4%Nice golden to yellow color. Good carbonation. Little head retention.
Smells malty with some sweet sourness that hides in the background.
Tastes malty sweet with deep fruitiness. Tastes a little prune or raison like. Faint hopping only for balancing sweetness and flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Perhapse a bit metalic. Finishes crisp. Hints of fruit malt and bitter remain. A good beer for typical micro. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-25-2005 20:21:22 | id: 242429

Yeasty sourdough bread has some grainy bread and flowery hops followed by sweet malt. Initial taste has your sweet malt, your bitter hops and floral notes. Aftertaste contains yeasty flavor that yields to herbs, hops and sugar. Boring. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-15-2005 15:57:29 | id: 248310

S - It smelled of grain and malt. Some sweet notes, too.
T - It tasted of malt with a little citrus kick. There was a subtle blend of hops, too.
M - A smooth and crisp mouthfeel. Also, very light-bodied.
D - This was an okay beer. It really didn't blow me away with flavors, but it is still worth a try. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-18-2007 22:48:32 | id: 478128

Poured g golden color with a decent head of white foam and good carbonation. The beer had a good bit of maltiness in the smell. To me it tasted like a higher quality Budweiser.Decent summer beer, but not real big on flavor or originality. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-20-2008 17:38:05 | id: 694464
WillieMoe ( Boston, Massachusetts )B- / 3.3look: 4 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | drink: 4 rDev: -1.2%A-Pours a nice opaque, golden (go figure) amber color, with hints of orange. It has a nice medium head, that dissolves slowly, leaving some nice lacing, and has some decent bubble action going on. S- The aroma is not very strong, with hints of the pale malt, the tiniest of hop scent, and a splash of burnt woodiness. T&M- From the smell, I expected this to be very woody and dry, but this was not the case. It was not overly dry, but rather had good balance in it, but nothing really makes it stand out. This a light crisp and refreshing brew that is very easy to drink. I could see downing a twelver of these watching a Rockies or something. bennetj17 ( Tucson, Arizona )B- / 3.3look: 3 | smell: 4 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.5 | drink: 3.5 rDev: -1.2%Clear golden color, faint head that disappears rapidly, good active carbonation. Strong nose of piney hops, faint malt. The tangy hops start out strong in the taste, but the flavor diminishes into an unremarkable finish. The bready malt flavor is quite weak. Decent bitterness overall. The mouthfeel is a bit thin watery/thin but not bad. I liked the carbonation. The drinkability is not bad on this one, could have used more flavor, but its still easy to drink and its a step up from light macro-lagers. This one is almost like a weak pale ale if anything. Worth a try... Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-16-2006 23:16:19 | id: 330631

AdmiralDiaz ( Winona/Woodbury, Minnesota )B- / 3.35look: 4 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 2.5 | drink: 5 rDev: +0.3%Poured from 12oz bottle to pint glass. A: I love this label. The beer pours a gold body with a two-finger off-white head with good retention as it becomes rocky. There's a decent amount of lacing as well. S: Smells malty with graininess beating out hops. T: Very similar to the smell. It's a very mellow taste with strong malt/grain/hop balance only containing notes of some sweet fruitiness. Overall: Mouthfeel was a little weak, low in carbonation and about as light as water. The drinkability was amazing though, it was honestly easier than drinking soda. ( Unknown )B- / 3.4look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3 | feel: 2.5 | drink: 3.5 rDev: +1.8%Brilliantly clear dark blonde hue. Thick, dogged porcelain white head leaves frothy lace. Soft, doughy malt with traces of husky grain along with an floral hop tinge in aroma. Simple, maltose sweetness arises as the meager hop nose fades. Understated, simple, but appetizing aromawise. Toasted malt upfront in flavor yields to a gentle combination of hop bitterness and mildly sweet, dextrin malt. Ashen floral hop flavor unfortunately develops a soapy twang mid palate, which lingers and detracts from an otherwise clean flavor profile. Bready, cracker like malt undertone persists throughout. Lightly bodied, with a thin, yet slightly oily mouthfeel. Finishes watery, with slowly fleeting herbal hops and dilute residual sweetness. Almost a good blonde ale, that falls a bit short on complete balance. Akin to a watered down Helles in overall character. Innocuous. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-25-2003 20:06:04 | id: 99646

The initial taste is dry and ever so slightly sour, with mild carbonation, a middle that has some malt, but needs more, followed by a dry mildly bitter finish – the overall impression is a thin, watery beer. Not my favorite, but not bad. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 06-11-2004 04:29:50 | id: 153190
