The ale pours brilliantly clear deep golden color with copper highlights and a clingy white head. The aroma is moderately hoppy, floral, spicy and a bit of citrus. There is a medium-low malt aroma as well, a bit like crackers and slightly sweet. The flavor is moderately hoppy upfront with a bit of malt and hint of esters toward the swallow. The finish is a bit prickly with medium-high hop bitterness lingering. The carbonation is medium-high and body medium. Overall a fairly balanced ale with a nice hop flavor. Solid.

Into a pint glass, Cold Hop poured a murky gold hue with a pretty good sized off white head. It faded pretty slow and turned lumpy as it sank.
The aroma is pretty well-balanced. Lots of sweet toasty malt is equaled by fruity and floral hops. Mostly caramel, grapefruit oils and and some cidery notes made up the fla.vors
Flavor seemed a bit more hoppy than the nose. The sweetness and caramel is evident throughout, but further in the background. Grass, grapefruit, and resiny pine made up a real good hop profile.
Medium bodied, and the mouthfeel had an excellent crisp dryness to it. The finish was chalky and toasty. This is a well-balanced good tasting beer.

12 oz bottle with a stamp of NOV2509, this is the last of a mixed 12-pack picked up in ABQ. Pours a dark gold color with a creamy, light tan foam that recedes quickly and leaves a touch of lace here and there.
Nose is nutty, earthy and caramely with a nice whiff of pine sap hoppiness. Bit of bread dough and mild fruitiness. Pretty good smelling brew.
Taste is mighty tasty as well. Well balanced with plenty to offer on both ends of the spectrum. There is a definite hop attack at the beginning and finish, flavor then bitter while the malts are both sweet and toasty. The distinctive flavor of maris otter malt comes through nicely without being too overpowering. I think this is my favorite beer from Boulder I have had. Very easy to drink and does not taste or feel like a 6.5% beer. I would have no problem buying a sixer of Cold Hop were it available locally.

A - Pours a hazy golden-tinged copper color with one finger of off-white head that drops down at a moderate pace, leaving some decent lacing behind. Decent retention as well.
S - Pretty mild aroma, with some lemony, floral hops and some grainy malt smells coming through mostly.
T - A balanced flavor, with some floral, citric, and slightly spicy hop flavors leading into somewhat bready, caramel malt. Finish is a bit dry and leaves some of the floral hop qualities lingering into the aftertaste.
M - Medium bodied with fine carbonation that lends a nice smoothness.
D - All in all, a solid and drinkable beer. Nothing spectacular, but it has good flavor and maintains a nice balance. Wouldn't turn this one down in the future.

22oz bottle poured a hazy cooper-orange with an off white ½ inch head that quickly dissipated into more of a film. The laces where apparent early on but nothing to write home about.
The nose seemed mild, with slight citrus, pine and floral notes.
The taste was not what I expected. It was more of a pear, bready thing going on with slight lemon citrus. The finish was dry and the malt tones rise with the temperature of the beer.
Both the mouth and carbonation where slightly under medium.
I was not all that impressed with this beer. It was drinkable but with so many other options out there I would not buy it again.
It is possible that this beer was old. Was purchased at a quick mart and have not seen this beer local in some time.

Pours a hazy copper color with thumb sized off white head that falls quickly with sparse lace.
Aroma is nice soft hops fruity mingle with floral with a caramel malt background.
Taste is hops not like the nose more herbal, earthy minty like. Malts come thru almost seems like they have and earthy metallic note but could be the hops?
Mouthfeel is medium with smooth carbonation.
Drinkability is ok a nice change, but not something i would really repeat buy.

Poured into a SN Tulip glass. 1 finger, off-white head that fades to 1/2 finger.
Smell had a great citrusy aroma that was accompanied by fruity and floral. Mellow maltiness.
Taste had a nice hop presence that was both bitter and aroma/flavor. Orangey, fruity/citrusy upfront w/ a grassy finish. Low level of malt sweetness that is mainly in the middle. Finish is fairly bitter. Maltiness does present itself a little more as it warms up.
Mouthfeel is light/medium with good carbonation and a dry finish.
Drinkability was good. On the bitter side for a English but nothing overpowering.

Pours a nice hazy orange with a medium 1/2 inch head that settles into a cap
Aroma of malt and bitter hops
Taste is upfront bitter in a good way, as the beer warms up the maltiness comes on strong, overall very balanced.
Some breadiness with a dry finish, good quaffer, easy drinking.
I'd drink this anytime, Cheers!

Poured from the bottle a hazy amber-orange with a healthy off-white head and sticky lacing.
The aroma is light with faint malts and citrus.
The taste is quite citrusy with orange, pine and grapefruit. Finishes with sweet caramel malts and a hint of cinnamon.
Medium bodied, a tad sticky, and moderately carbonated.
This was much hoppier than expected and a pleasant surprise. I think I'll have to put this one into my regular rotation.

December 2009 stamped on the side of bottle.
Pours a cloudy goldish orange with a decent white head following a medium-aggressive pour. The lace seems to be sticking very nicely to the side of the glass.
Smell is rather mild but some citrus and grape like aromas are apparent. Very little hop aroma.
What Cold Hop lacks in smell, it makes up for in taste. First you get a tingling sensation from the hops followed by the citrus and grape like flavors that were also present in this beer aroma. Finishes rather smooth.
Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side, with good carbonation.
I could drink this beer as a session, but I'd be in trouble after a sixer.
Morey's Bottom Line: A refreshing beer. Not ground breaking, but very good none the less. Something I'd buy a case of to have on hand for a session brew.

Poured from a bottle into a perfect.
Pours a medium straw to light amber with a decent head that recedes to a cap.
Aroma is of tannic acid with a light malt and hop aroma.
Flavor is tannic and light. The water gives a nice mineral flavor with a decent hop rider.
Moutfeel is mdeium bodied and carbonation is adequate.
Good beer, a decent IPA if light.

12oz bottle poured into pint glass.
A - 1 finger of offwhite/cream colored foam, leaves impressive lacing on its somewhat quick departure. kind of a generic but clean...hazy light gold color.
S - very impressive floral hops, all the yummy pine, grass, and grapefruits poke in at times. actually making my mouth water. well done here.
T - more of the floral, but somewhat subdued. tangy malts help carry the pretty pleasant hop profiles.
M - somewhat watery, but nicely carbonated.
D - only had one wanted more. could be dangerous at 6.5, as i could have no problems putting a big dent in a six pack of this.

Another great beer tasted for ree at their local distributor's expo. The lone perk of my job.
Pours a nice golden color with a slightly disappointing head. Nice lacing.
Sweet malts and light hops dominate the nose. Nicely done, but not too interesting.
Thankfully the taste is equally sweet and malty with a nice hoppy finish, but it has a nice depth. Same as the nose, but more interesting.
In the mouth it is very light with nice carbonation.
This is one of the most refreshing beers I had that day. I would certainly have a few more of this insanely drinkable beer. Great for everyday or sessions.

S - caramel malt, fruity notes -apple mostly with slight kiss of hops to seal the deal.
T - rounded w/ caramel malts, spicy and floral hops, fruit esters and an underlying nuttyness. ends relatively dry and clean.
MF - low carbonation. smooth and slick feel on this medium size body
D - very balanced, subtle yet rewarding flavor profile. good go-to session brew.

A: Clear amber color. Poured a 1 finger off-white head that dissipated to an even skim. Lightly decanted. Patchy lacing.
S: Citrus and light herbal noble hops.
T: Earthy flavors and herbal hops consistent with smell. Citrus flavor not nearly as prominent; slightly sweet pale malt in the middle. A bit resiny that lingers a bit though a bitter finish.
M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Smooth and silky to a nicie bitter finish.
D: Very flavorful and nicely balanced with pleasing complexity. Disguises the ABV well.

Pours golden copper to a medium head that demised to a very small head, very little lacing. Mildly malty at first then the hop bitterness comes in the background. A little fruity flavor from the hops comes through and the bitterness, which is slight, moves into the after taste.

pours copper gold with a 2 finger head that left spotted lacing
smell is faint but what i do pick up is carmel malts fruit
taste is great - its mojo with more malts or better balance - big tropical fruit along side the sweet carmel malts - only bad thing would be no bitterness to this beer
mouthfeel is nice and light with decent carbonation
drinkability is great and i see my sixer not lasting long

Poured into standard pint glass
Golden-amber in color with a nice, frothy head
Aroma-Very aromatic fruity herbal hops with a slightly malty nose
Taste- Initial onrush of herbal, almost citrussy hops, then a pleasant, malty, mineral earthyness that seems to strike a nice balance. Very interesting flavor with a lingering hop bitterness in the finish.
Overall, a very interesting, flavorful brew.

Pale gold hazy but slightly translucent. A very thin head.
Can smell the noble hops. Very fuggle herbal, but there is a nice citrus compliment.
Hmm the flavor takes on a slightly different turn. The herbal hops and earthy flavors are still present, and there is a bite not quite the citrus kind of bite. Somewhat sweet pale malt brings balance.
Nice light carbonation and a smooth body. A good take on the british ipa would like to try this on cask.

Hazy apricot colored with an off-white frothy head that doesn't rise up overly high, but sits back and slowly recedes, leaving some rings around the glass.
Low aroma of honey and ripe pear, some subtle citrus.
Flavor of toasted bread malt, cinnamon and toffee, overripe apple and pear, honey and orange rind bitters. A dry grass tannic note washes through the finish, and pine lingers.
Full and creamy mouthfeel, chewy but a bubbly flourish comes through in the finish.
Interesting beer, tasty and drinkable.

Poured to a hazy ornage with medium thick off-white head that lingered well and left good lacing. Nose was a citrusy hop (mostly lemons and grapefruit) offset by a hint of malty dark fruit. Mouthfeel was full and a tad biting, but agian offfset by the sweet smoothness of the malt. Taste followed the nose, with a bit of floral thrown in. This well rounded beer finished strong with a perfect mix of the hoppy bitterness and the sweet warmth of the malt.

Poured a bottle into a perfect pint glass.
A: A nice glowing copper with a two finger head sitting on top that provides good lacing.
S: Light citrus notes and a touch of floral, not overpowering, with a bit of malty sweetness in the background.
T: Good crisp citrusy bitterness. A bit oily and very fresh tasting. Nothing special, but still very pleasant.
M: Light but not harsh. Not much creaminess.

Taste: Very bready, grainy. Slightly sweet, hints of apples and with a dry finish.

A - A golden brown with a nice head that has little retention. Some lacing left though. Clear yet amber.
S - A rather malty smell yet excellently balanced with a strong hop aroma. A deep bold smell that makes the beer seem darker and thicker than it is.
T - A delicious malt taste overwhelms the initial hoppy sensation once you begin to swallow. A rich carmel/coffee after taste is present but the other flavors linger to compliment this taste nicely.
M - A medium consistency typical of an ale. Suprisingly smooth for all the deep flavor added.
D - An excellent beer that grows on you quite quickly. The hops flavor seems to creep up on you also as it is very nicely balanced by the malty flavors.
