The Mojo IPA pours a straw color with tons of large particulates floating around (esp. the second half of the 22 - probably the most I've seen in a beer so far). It has a large, pillowy, white head that goes down to a bubbly film that laces the glass.
Its aroma is strong spicy, piney hops with some malt and citrus underneath.
Its taste is a whole lotta hops with a very strong, bitter finish (a little too much so). It's a little metallic initially, and the mouthfeel is on the thin side.
Overall, an OK IPA. I think was a little too one sided (all hops) and prefer better balanced IPAs (Stone, Avery, Victory).

Copper hue with a trace murk. Pitted, dense, dogged ivory white head leaves steadfast, coating lace. Prevalent in aroma is a combination of mellow pine needle and pink grapefruit. As the beer warms, medium caramel and vague cracker like basemalt notes offer contrast. Quite tame and perfunctory aromawise, but welcoming nonetheless. In flavor, incipient is a wash of medium lovibond crystal malt, which primes the palate for the ensuing mix of orange zest and bitter pith like hop presence. Bitterness lingers and is almost static, but malt character resurfaces late in a dryish, lightly toasted nature. Subdued minty ethanol and pine oil hints. Moderate in body, with a lightly dextrinous mouthfeel a notch shy in viscosity for full malt support. Malt backbone gains girth considerably as the beer warms, with ample residual sugar and sweet biscuit notes taming the initial dryness. Still, the finish is relatively parching, with fleeting hints of dilute mint and acidic lemon. Quite a tasty IPA, with pronounced, but one dimensional hop and malt character. Regardless, it's soft on the palate and superb in drinkability. Recommended.

22 oz. bottle, no freshness date.
Pours a pale orange-yellow with a full, rocky white head that lasts and leave webs of lacing.
Citrusy hop smell right off the bat -- no surprises otherwise.
Taste is very much citrus, grapefruit to be exact. Not unpleasant but a bit of a surprise.
Carbonation is fine, but oily feel is prevalent, sticks to the tounge.
Not a beer I could throw back repeatedly, but drinkable enought. Overall, I think this brew is trying too hard to be unforgetable.

Cool, somewhat hazy golden color, with a bone-white head, attractive, big at first, though ultimately short-lived.
Aroma: oh, that's the stuff, like a deep breath in the heart of a primal forest, a crazy mess of spikey, sprucey, herbal hoppitude. Feels like it's dry-hopped. Piney, citrusy.
Continues on the tastebuds, bitter, yet sweetish and slightly fruity.
A bit light in body, a tad lacking in the malt department...it's all over, under and thoroughly about the hops (wish I could which ones). Taste never flags or sags, though that's for sure, if you want hops playing everwhere on your palate, though every inch your mouth, and ushering forth a case of the hop burps, Mojo is here for you. Feels thicker on the mouth further in, sweeter, candyish.
Quite an interesting approach, bitter, yeah, but not too much, and still drinkable. Nice change of pace, though I think I like Hazed and Infused better.

Appearance - Pours a hazy light copper with a white head. The head thins but leaves nice lacing on the glass.
Aroma - Malt and floral hops dance above the head of this nice smelling beer.
Taste - Citrus flavors abound in this delicious ale. A little more hop balance would have made it much better.
Mouthfeel - A little thin but a nice dry hoppy finish.
Drinkabilty - Delightfully consumable. A decent beer that I would share with others.

Hmm .. cheesily packaged beers often repel me. Such was the case with the bomber of this beer. After exhausting most other options, I gave it a shot.
And i'm glad I did! Hop-heads only. The beer pours a hazy, yeast-clouded golden orange. I could almost take a swim on the beach of bleached frothiness, but don't expect to see more than splotchy lacing on your glass.
You could pitch this beer to a smirnoff ice lover, saying it was an fruit beer. The beer is loaded with pungent whiffs and tastes of grapefruit, mango, papaya, and even limon.
My only complaint about this beer was the slightly metallic bitterness I encountered.
I caught only the occasional glance at malt, but at least there was no overly annoying sweetness at a fairly high ABV.
I do say for the drinkability factor, it rates quite high - you finish your pint before you know it. I would've gone for at least another bomber - seriously!
My fiancee noted that it could possibly be the best late warm summer beer.

22 oz. bomber served chilled in a pint glass.
Appearance: Hazy peach color with a large and frothy off-white head. The head eventually settles down to a layer of froth. Nice blobs of foam typical of an IPA are left on the glass.
Smell: Pronounced grapefruit aroma with faint lemon, orange, and spruce notes. A cornucopia of hop aromas.
Taste: Sharp and tangy grapefruit smacks you upside the head. Then you get some bitter pine flavors on the finish. No malt taste at all.
Mouthfeel: Light in body, very puckering from the hop tastes.
Drinkability: Well, if you like hops, you might like this. Very unbalanced. Certainly better than Hazed and Infused, but not by much. It looks and smells good, though. Would it have hurt them to have used some malt in the brewing process?
Thanks to prAna for the sample.

This beer poured a reddish gold color and formed a nice foamy white head that left circular lace as it subsided. Some carbonation was present. An aroma of malt, with a strong citrus-grapefruit aspect which is probably the main hops aroma being used in this IPA. A flavor of malt, hops and citrus. A rather bitter citrus finish to it. Really not one of the better IPAs around that I have tried. It's possible it is going for a more English style than American.

Sampled at From The Vine monthly beer tasting Oct 13th, 2003: This beer is a dark copper color with a medium white head. Thin lacing. Hops and citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied and with a strong peppery hops presence. The finish is tart grapefruit and more hops. I normally like a lot of hops in an IPA but the hops flavor was on the spicy side in this brew.

Appearance: Hazy copper hues with an almost non-existent haed. Some tiny bubbles flowing upward.
Aroma: Sweet malt/alcohol and hoppiness explode. Hops dominate.
Taste: Hops, hops, and more hops! Bitterness up-front, middle, and finish. Some malty backbone and alcohol present. Nice grapefruit tones dominate the finish.
Mouthfeel: Coating mouthfeel, with the powerful hops giving a dry, crisp finish.
Drinkability: Overall, a pleasing IPA. Quite a standard American IPA. Nothing special, but would try again.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden-amber color, minimal carbonation, has a small off-white head that does cling to the glass. Fresh strong hoppy pine and grapefruit aromas, nice hoppy resiny grapefruit flavor, has a decent malt balance, medium bodied with full and almost syrupy mouthfeel, finishes with a nice hop bitterness.

22 oz. Bottle
Appearance: This beer filled my glass with a chill-hazed, amber-orange glow. The white, three-finger head settled down slowly and became dense and fluffly doing so. There was a ton of lace left on the side of the glass by the layer of foam that remained floating on top of the beer.
Smell: The aroma was dominated by sharp, citrus hops. Underneath this dwelt a bready, roasted malt smell. As the beer really warmed up, the citrus smell developed into more of a sickly, rotten citrus smell. This didn't detract from my enjoyment too much, though.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a little bit of a bite. Surprisingly, this beer was a slightly chewy in the sides of the mouth.
Taste: This beer was all hops. From the very start all the way to the finish, a strong citrus and slightly herbal hops bitterness dominated the flavor. While the Hazed and Infused had a lot of hops flavor, but relatively low bitterness, this one had a bitterness that I could feel in my jaw. Well into the finish, a light malt sweetness emerged, with a hint of roasted malt arising well into the aftertaste.
This might not be the most balanced brew in the world, but it was pretty darn good, especially if you are a hop head like me. However, it would have scored higher if there was more of a malt presence. I'm surprised that Rockies Brewing Company released two IPAs in a row in their Looking Glass series, but I'm not one to complain. ;-)

This ale, from the Looking Glass Series, pours a hazy peach color with an off-white head. Trails of lace reside on the glass while a thin head remains throughout the brew. Nose is dominated by citric hops, with big notes of grapefruit and not much else. Flavor features additional notes of citric hops and a similarly big grapefruit profile. Not overly balanced, but tasty just the same. Truly a hop head's ale, but one that could use some more malt for balance. It's still quite enjoyable, however; refreshing and easy to drink. A better than average, hoppy IPA overall.
