Pub mug, nice one inch head and ample lace, slight chill haze.

Smells of ripe melon and citrus rinds, slightly piney with hints of sweat malts.

Taste is citrus honey do melon with a slight piney finish. Bighting hops blended with sweat malts.

Medium bodied this IPA can hand with the like of Great Lakes Commadore Perry.

This is another underrated beer IMO. The appearance is below par, but the nose (especially from the bottle after the pour and in the glass after the beer is gone) makes up for it! Poured from a bottle with Enjoy By Aug 28, 2013, so very fresh! Crisp, clean in appearance; grassy, piney nose; really easy to drink at 7.2 ABV and wakes up the taste buds! I'd much rather spend $8-9 on a sixer of this as opposed to more for the Avery IPA and the GD Titan (and I really like those two beers, BTW).

I had this beer on draft (nitro) served in a pint glass at SDTaproom during a recent trip to San Diego. Beer arrived with a thick, dense nitro head on top of a beer that is a dark straw color. Aroma was a little hoppy and I thought perhaps a little metallic. Soft hop flavor with creamy mouthfeel that you would expect from a nitro beer.
