Taproom attached to brewery. Kind of generic interior. Good service, kind of quiet for a Saturday. Flagships and seasonals available, some bottles and merch. Free popcorn. Patio area too.

this place is turning out better beer than you would ever know as a boise resident, it seems like so little of it ever makes its way down here, and what does are the less compelling ones in my opinion, i was really impressed with the quality of the beer here when we were in, and think they might be a bit underrated in the minds of most people here. their space feels new, obviously they have expanded over the years, a big stand along building with a neat patio on one end where the taproom is, hops growing, people playing cornhole, good energy. inside its quite expansive as well, with a large bar area along one side, a fireplace with some cozy seating around it, and all the production in behind. its modern and cozy, and they had a nice selection of beers on when we were in, with just as many available to go. i loved the wet hop pale ale, which was citra driven and just juicy and bright as can be. i also dug the oktoberfest, and wished for more time here to drink through the others. seems like they have a lot more to offer here than they tend to in the stores or bars, so a brewery visit is definitely worth it. service was friendly and the place allows dogs, as you might expect, so it was a perfect hang out for us. i really liked our visit here, and would recommend it to anyone, especially in the fall with the wet hop and the oktoberfest on the menu, two of the best beers i have had from them over the years!

Visited on a Sunday October afternoon. Okay tap room with mostly usual tap offerings. When these guys first got my attention 5 years ago or so I was somewhat impressed, now it feels a bit like they're going through the motions. Would've been nice to see an indication of innovation.

I visited Laughing Dog with my brother while in the Idaho panhandle on vacation last week. I've had their beer many many times, it being a staple in the Inland Northwest, but it seems like just about everything they make they bottle. I was looking forward to trying some "chalkboard" beers but they didn't have anything at the taproom that isn't pretty widely distributed already.

That said, they did have 12 beers on tap and I had a couple of old favorites. Our bartender was friendly and service was quite good, though the place wasn't especially full.

When I visited, they had a small kitchen in operation doing wraps and flatbreads, which were tasty. I heard, though, that they are thinking of shutting down the kitchen soon, so maybe don't count on food being available.

This is a fun little brewery in Ponderay, Idaho. they have 12 beers on tap at the time I visited. They seem to specialize in IPA's.
I had the Huckleberry Cream Ale, The Rocket Dog and the Dogzilla(Imperial dark ale) (Sorry, I just can't say an "black" IPA with a straight face)

Anyway, back to the fun aspect - Dogs. They serve snacks in dog bowls (not dog biscuits, unless you happen to be a dog) and the regulars bring theirs in while they have a pint. The T- shirts say ""In Dog Beers I've only had one".
The staff is friendly and eager to give a tour of the brewing equipment.

If you're in Sandpoint or Ponderay, I recommend stopping in.

Missed the anniversary party by one day. Really enjoyed the tour, an older man with gravelly voice that reminded me of the bar owner on Walker Texas Ranger. Had a super IPA and a barrel aged beer amongst the regulars in a very good sampler. People there were very neighborly, and I chatted with people also from North Carolina. Solid beers, decent selection, and good people. I don't believe there was any food there, and prices were reasonable for a brewpub. Wouldn't mind going there again someday, but I don't know when I'll be back in that neck of the woods again.
