Well I was a little curious when I saw 'malt liquor" on single of beer in the imports section, but it wasn't too expensive for this 16.9oz bottle, so what the hey, I picked a couple up. Turns out they're not bad at all, though not outstanding. I certainly wouldn't group it with "malt liquors" tho, this is a quite decent beer and not just cheep malt liquor.
This clear and golden brew had a decent head but it dissipated after a while, tho some lacing did remain.
The smell was of wheat and a hint of spice or citrus, but wasn't very impressive, tho not in any way unappealing.
The taste was good, wheaty and malty, with light overtones of lemon and an indiscernible, light spiciness. It has ample carbonation and feels nice on the way down.
The drinkability is quite fine, an easy downing beer that would make for an easy going afternoon of barbeque and horseshoes.
I can't say that this beer will ever make a top ten list, but it's certainly worth the moderate price, a good value and tasty little brew.

gettin' back to basics- this is what i was raised on.... does anyone else miss the spaten club-weisse?
pours an awesome white head, pure gold color of brew.
smell . . . . GERMAN. plain and simple
taste . . . GERMAN. plain and simple. geez, i had gotten away from these for too long.... belgium is a great place to visit, but too rich to stay....
mouthfeel is medium with a little bit of carbonation.
overall, it's a decent beer, and one that just may take me back to where i think my heart yearns to be. lower abv than i'm accustomed to lately with all the belgiums and trippels, but there's always whiskey, right?

Appearance - Pours a clear, brilliant golden color with a thick, white 2 finger head. Good retention. The resulting lace is thin, but consistent and with a bit of stick.
Smell - Aroma is distinctly European. Notes are clean and somewhat floral, with hints of bublegum and, to a lesser extent, banana.
Taste - Mellow, with notes of bubblegum and banana at the forefront. Mid-taste a solid note of butter toffee hits the palate and rides into the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium body, backed by a bubbly carbonation which keeps it fresh and lively. Quite slick on the tongue, likely due to diacetyl.
Overall - Awesome crystal wheat; one of the best ones I've had. Will buy again.

Poured from 1 Pint bottle to weizen glass.
A: Light and clear, with medium carbo. Full 1+" foamy head, but faded quicky. Lacing was pretty good, with medium retention.
S: Bananas!
T: Bananas again, but with yeast, subtle apricots, and a punch of cloves at the end.
M: A little on the bready side, not really heavy, just right for the style. The carbonation disapated quickly though, last few sips were a little flat.
O: Not usually a weizen fan, but this one is actually pretty good. Great for a warm late-summer day. Very nice.

Light golden color with a durable white head that leaves exceptional lacing.
M: thin with medium+ carbonation; this sounds like a soda but the feel of this beer is fine for the style.
The aroma [3.25] features plenty of banana and cloves. As expected then, the flavor is fruity with banana, vague light fruit juice, and yeast. Perhaps true enough to style but a bit under-hopped for my tastes.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a weizen glass. Reviewed from notes.
A-Two finger white head. Kind of weak retention. Pale golden color, wonderful clarity. Medium carbonation.
S- Some banana and cloves, golden wheat. Quite nice.
T- Light with some slight booziness. Tastes a little darker than a hefeweizen but still wheaty. Bready tones.
M- Thick, almost chewy body from the breadiness.
O- Not great, but above average and very drinkable.

Let's make today a "Tucher Day", and why not? It's great weather for those German wheat ales, and I have yet to penetrate the Tucher brand. Coming out of a 500 ml bottle, on to the beer:
Simply beautful out of the bottle. Sparkling golden yellow color, clear (duh!), a dazzling show of large carbonaton bubbles running through the body, and a head that is fluffy in texture that dissipates slowly. Retention is okay, lacing is spotty. The nose is appealing as well. In fact, it smells almost like a weizen WITH the yeast, but more subtle. Soft notes of banana, clove, cinnamon, and lemon break in.
Good tasting. It's a fun mix of baking spices (clove, cinnamon) and bread. Banana is subtle. There's a hint of bubblegum too. A little spice hangs around in the aftertaste, but otherwise this is quite clean. Light bodied and gently carbonated despite the show of bubbles in the beer's body.
This is a very good beer overall, but for the kristalweizen style, this might be the best one that I've found so far. Well worth the wait.

Nice rocky white head poured into a tall pilsner glass. Smell is of banana, raisin, fruitcake, CO2. Super light, refreshing and smooth on the palate. Really cool and sparkly. Very mild and satisfying finish with a thirst quenching, light mouthfeel. Excellent. Good beer for a hot day. PERFECT stepping off point for a "regular" beer drinker. It has all of the good points and none of the bad of your everyday beer.

A: Clear, sparkling straw color. Head is rocky, 5+ fingers and white, showing good retention and lacing.
S: Sweet biscuit wheat malts and typical weizen aromas of banana fruit and bubble gum. Also smell a little lemon, hay and light hops.
T/M: Nice clean taste of wheat malts, with a lively carbonation. Moderate sweetness with a pleasant fruit character. Body is medium and creamy in texture. The finish is sweet with also a bit of a tangy quality.
O: I enjoyed this kristall weizen and would recommend it. Perfect for the end of a summer's day.

Pours a nice clear golden color with white foam head. smells mostly of cloves. Tastes good, light on flavor, cloves, no off flavors. Mouthfeel is smooth with a good amount of carbonation. overall a very good beer with high drinkability, just a cut below the Weihenstephaner Kristallweis,
