Bottle into a Berwick Brewing pint glass.

A- Bright yellow with a darker shade once the dregs leave the bottle. A bright baby teeth white head on top with a sturdy base that leaves no lace.

S- Freshly peeled banana with a nice wheat backing. Some pale malt action with a small amount of lemon. Miniscule spice and earthy hop aroma.

T- A blast of small citrus, lemon, orange and such. Wheat up next with some small grass. Malty middle that is not too sweet, thank you. Bananas show up, but less than the smell. Spice is kept low, a bit of honey here qnd there.

M- A very light bodied beer with a taste that makes you think the body is bigger. Carb is there but does not bite the tounge. I can tell this is a 'fresher' bottle as it is not overly over run with sweet malt and dead hops, the green cones keep things in check.

D- One of the better hefes out the bottle in recent memory, I love finding fresh German beer which is sort of hit or miss with me.

Beer take into Perugia-Italy in a common Glass with a pizza.
Appearance of a wheat beer,yellow and cloudy.
Smell like bananas, clove.
very tastefull, o little spice, remarkable clove
Medium corp.for me like others hefe weissen, but less liquer-like

This beer is now available in all Wetherspoon's pubs in the UK. I had mine in 'The Dragonfly' at Birmingham Airport.

sadly they had no correct Weizenbier glasses, so it was poured into a tall pint glass.

Looked as good as any Hefeweizen, cloudy and murky, with a huge pure white head.

Cracking aroma of banana and vanilla, just like most Weizenbiers do.

Not as tastey as some, but still very refreshing, sharp and citrusy in flavour.

A good example of the style, a long way from a classic, but never-the-less well worth trying.

Poured into weizen glass

A: a cloudy marigold colored brew with a big, fluffy head of white foam. settles slowly and leaves a cap of foam to the bottom of the glass

S: aromas of banana, clove, lemon, bread dough, and earth.

T: flavors of banana and lemon upfront balanced by earthy wheat. follow through to a finish with clove, pepper, wheat bread dough

M: a medium full body with a frothy entry that quickly becomes smooth and lush then finishes off dry

Overall, a very good sample of the style. I'm not a big fan of hefeweizens, but I could drink several of these.

500mL bottle poured into a pint glass.

A - Cloudy pale gold with plenty of carbonation and about one finger of soft white foam. Some floating hop particles in addition to the yeast sediment.

S - Loads of ripe banana with some grainy cereal aroma.

T - Tart cereal/wheat flavor with banana and just the barest hint of clove. It's not bad, but kind of thin.

M - Light bodied and smooth, but lacking the creaminess of a good example of the style.

D - This is a tolerable hefe, but not very exciting. It's definitely worth spending a little extra for Ayinger or Weihenstephaner.

A- Straw yellow color, and very hazy - almost cloudy. Meringue head with lacing.

S- Very faint, barely perceptible classic Hefe Weizen aromas, unfortunately.

T- Light, pleasant flavors, but far from the degree of pleasure afforded by Franziskaner, Weihenstephan, Schneider...

M, D- Good drinkability.

of all the wheatie,s i like this one the best.color is a nice golden with some yeast clouding it up a bit at the end of the pour,taste i get citrus from start to finish with a hint of sweetness but crisp and a little dry at the finish,a very drinkable beer for me.

p: slender, brown, Euro-style bottle poured into a Tucher Weizen glass.

a: pours a hazy golden yellow with a thick, soft white 2+ finger head; yeast particles visible floating inside the glass.

s: very subtle fruity sweetness, increases as you approach the bottom.

t: sweet caramel, bready, finishes with just a hint of banana. towards the bottom of the glass, the banana flavor is much more prevalent.

m: smooth, medium to light body; small particles of yeast give an interesting texture

d: extremely drinkable, smoothest hefeweizen I've had. Not the most flavorful hefeweizen, but worth every penny.

Pours a clouded bright orange golden hue with bright white vibrant head forms speckled scattered lacing. Aroma has more citrus than most German hefeweizens I've come across, a touch of clove and bubblegum in there as well. Light herbal hops in the background with a nice breadiness, definitely the perfect breakfast beer. Flavor flows nicely with a nice mix of citrus fruit/wheat bread sweetness. A nice full bubblegum candy characteristics with hints of clove and vanilla esters with a light herbal hop back ground. Mouthfeel overall is nice carbonation carries well semi effervescent light to medium bodied, no complaints. Drinkability is effortless a nice hefe, not the best but solid all around player approachable for many palates and girls will of course love this stuff.

Pours pretty gold with a big fluffy white head. A touch hazy with light lacing.

Sweet wheat, some yeast and some banana at best. It is there, but you must dig.

Wheat, yeast, some spice, and tart lemon rounds this out. No funk or anything too overpowering. Great balance. Glass is empty in an instant. Yes, I was thirsty, but this was incredibly refreshing. Light bodied, just the right amount of carbonation.

$9.00 a six? Fantastic! Just a really decent version of this style. Not overpowering in the banana/clove area, and that really works. This could become my summer beer...

Pours a nice hazy gold color, one finger or foam that dissipates quickly.
Smells of bananas and more bananas.
Lighter side of carbonation, very good wheat beer taste, perhaps lacking bite or punch, but still good. Well rounded, a bit watery.
I could drink plenty of these judging by taste, but being surprisingly heavy on alc(5.5), would def. do something stupid/hit on fat chicks.

Appearance: Hazy golden yellow with a thick, pillowy white head that sticks around.

Smell: Slight fruitiness with some malts and faint herbal hoppiness.

Taste: Slightly sweet and nice and malty. Some faint fruit and pepper crispness. Also some hop bitterness that rounds things out nicely, ending each sip with a slight bready and hoppy flavour.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, refreshing with a pretty lively carbontion. Medium bodied.

Impressions: Excellent, definitely a must try for any wheat beer lover. Or any beer lover for that matter.

A - Pours a golden-yellow, obviously crystal-clear, with a brilliant sparkling effervescence, one finger of head that reduces small white foam cap. Typical Helles.

S - Smells of clean mountain spring water, minerals, really no discernible hop or malt, perhaps the aroma of bread from at least 3 miles away.

T - Tastes well-balanced and with a character that suggests a pristine alpine brew, super pale and very cleanly refreshing. As it airs out, it reveals an estery banana nut bread, sweet wheat tempered with subtly bitter hop, and a little German sweatiness. The flavor really progresses and enhances itself through the experience.

M - Refreshing, perfectly carbonated.

D - Very good.

Appearance: Tucher Hefeweizen pours an ultra-cloudy golden yellow, with a lovely billowy head to cap it off. This is exactly how a hefeweizen should look! There are also yeast chunks galore, which is right up my alley!

Smell: Banana is prominent in the aroma, but more banana bread than the fruit.

Taste: The taste follows the smell: quite bready with plenty of chewy yeast, just the way I like it! Not as citrusy as some hefeweizens.

Mouthfeel: The body is nice and creamy. It's also utterly smooth and very wet.

Drinkability: Light-bodied, smooth, full-flavored, low ABV...sounds pretty drinkable to me!

Notes: I underestimated this beer. Seeing as it's a Bavarian hefeweizen, I was expecting it to be good, but was not prepared for it to be as excellent as it is. This beer stands out for its bready taste and texture. Also, I'm a sucker for yeast, and this beer had a lot of it. I'm glad I got the end portion of this shared bottle, so as to get all the yeasty goodness possible.

I tried this beer out as I love hefeweizen style beers and it as one of the few German beers at the store I was at that I hadn't tried before.

When pouring the Beer, it was a light golden color that you could see easily through to the other side

didn't pick up much smell from this, though there was a slight banana aroma

upon tasteing it I noticed how smooth and "light" that it actually was. Being that the word "hell" means light in German I had a feeling that this beer will be a similar but weaker overall taste than a traditional German Hefe

The mouth feel was very light and short lasting

Overall I found this beer to be very drinkable, though I prefer a hefe to be a little stronger in taste, this would be great if you want something that's lighter tasteing and would be great after a night of drinking also. Highly recommended and would try again.

Poured into a standard pint glass.

A: Cloudy, pale gold with floaties and a pure white head.

S: Bananas, earthy wheat, cloves and a citric note. Nothing to set this aside from an average hefeweizen.

T: Very clean, refreshing wheat body with a nice earthy malt backbone. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel.

D: A six-pack candidate for a football night or a summer bbq.

Value: Easy to find and good price make this brew a good go-to hefe. When you just wanna drink some decent wheat beer without thinking about it too much, this is a decent choice.

Live review. Poured from the 16.9 oz. brown vertically oriented bottle that I received as a Christmas gift from Mat & Christine into my Ayinger gold rimmed 0.5 L Weizen glass. I must say, this is the perfect glass for this beer.

A Sediment which was visible before even opening the bottle is chunky and floating about the orange/yellow body. The head was white, 3 to 4 inches but dissapeared all too quickly and now is non existent (some 3 minutes later). I wish the head stuck around but it remains an interesting look. 3.5

S This is not a good smelling beer. Repeated whiffs brought to mind a freshly chlorined pool, some stale Pine-Sol in a dirty bucket, some wet, rotting barley malt but none of the qualities that I value in this style. Amazingly, I get no light wheat malt smells. Very dissapointed. If I chose beers to drink on smell alone I would simply not try this one. 1.0

T/M A flat, thin mess of organic grain tastes and again none of the qualities that I have come to love in this style. The complete lack of carbonation reduces this beer to thick water with some unpleasant grain tastes. 2.0

D Not good. There is no reason in my mind that you would want such unpleasant smells and tastes in a beer and there is no surprise to me that I did not want to drink it. 1.5

Notes: This will likely be my lowest rated beer of its style for a long time to come. Normally I really go for beers in this style and that is why I am so dissapointed.

Poured from an 11.2 oz brown bottle, the beer displays a large foamy head with beautiful retention. It has a cloudy honey color with bits of sediment floating around in the glass.

The smell is spicy sweet with an orange citrus character noticeable. Pleasingly aromatic in the nose.

It tastes of a sweet, mildly bready wheat with a bit of a tart finish that leaves my mouth watering for another sip. Flavorful definitely, but subdued. There is plenty to taste but they've made sure not to overdo it.

A medium body as far as mouthfeel goes. Very smooth. Excellent drinkability as these go down all too easily. I would recommend this beer not only to fans of the style, but to all beer drinkers. An excellent Hefeweizen that shouldn't be missed.

S: Bananas, lemon meringue, yeast, dust, bread

A: Light yellow, and not actually very cloudy compared to others. Great fluffy head, that hangs around forever.

T: Bananas, sweetness, lemon, yeast, a little tangy funky yogurty zip at the end. Definitely unique.

M/D: Average to thin, little thickness and slippery probably d/t wheat. Very drinkable. Refreshing and minimal alcohol presence.

Overall: Not a hefeweizen expert, but compared to other German ones I've had this seems to be pretty good and tasty, but not super good.

I poured this Hefeweizen from a 1 pint bottle into a pint glass. The head is a really tightly formed and has great, webby retention. The beer in the glass is a thick, golden hue, allowing just a small point of light in the bottom of the glass.
Upon first sip I get an aroma and taste of bananas. This beer is very light in the mouth with the carbonation fairly high, and leaves the slightest trail of hops in the mouth. For what its worth, I find this beer to be much smoother and more drinkable than its American brethren.

Poured from a 16.9oz bottle into a weizen glass.

A: The beer is a cloudy light yellow color with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of wheat, lemon, bananas, light malts and some hops.

T: The taste is bready with a wheat flavor that isn't quite as strong as most others in the style. Then there is some lemon and light malt sweetness that comes in. The hops presence is mild but complementary. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, there are a few others in the style that I would choose first but this is a very solid Hefeweizen to drink for a long time.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a weizen glass.

Color is the typical lovely hazy gold of the weizen beers, with a nice two-inch head that dissipates gradually, leaving behind a nice amount of lacing. Smell has a fruity, slightly citrus-y aroma. Bit of a slight tartness arising out of the malts as well. Interesting to say the least.

Tiny bit of bitterness to kick things off on the taste, followed quickly by a snap of bubblegum flavoring, then the prevalent wheat and yeast esters of the brew. Slight banana and citrus starts off the back end, but with little of the breadiness that is present in other examples of hefeweizen. In its place, there's actually a bit of an alcoholic tinge to it, giving the beer a little sourness to it that was unexpected. It seemed to disappear and reappear with subsequent sips. Pretty unusual. Mouthfeel is very nice and smooth, giving it a pleasant feeling around the palate along with the just-right carbonation.

Drinkability is good, though it is one of the more interesting hefes I've had. Has that typical hefeweizen look, but certainly a very unique taste. Still nowhere near Weihenstephaner's effort, but a serviceable beer nonetheless.

Appearance is a hazy light gold color with a white, fluffy two-finger head with pretty good retention.

Smell is moderate, a yeasty bread smell with a little citrus to it.

Taste is of hops and citrus. Slightly grainy with an almost floral finish.

Mouthfeel is smooth, with a medium body and a little carbonation bite.

Drinakbility is pretty easy. Probably a little more refreshing then some other hefeweizen beers. But I have had better.

500 mL bottle poured into a weissbier glass.

Pours a cloudy orange-tinted straw with a large, long-lasting, fluffy meringue-like white head.
Quite subtle on the nose: moderate clove up front, with mild banana, bubblegum, and yeasty bread in the background, but dominated on the whole by a lactic tart lemon citrus quality.
Soft but bright on the palate, with bubblegum-turned-orange on the entry, and a subtle undercurrent of clove throughout, all on top of a solid grainy bread backbone.
Light bodied, just barely leaning toward medium, with a moderate amount of carbonation.

Poured into a 22 oz pilsner glass.

Chill haze straw in color with a rocky one inch head and ample lace.

Smells of ripe apples and cloves. As it warms I do detect a spicey floral note too.

Taste is crisp light spicey hop and fruity ester. Some bananna and clove but not too over-the-top with the yeast profile. A bit watery and slightly grassy earth note.

This is a quaffable brew. Very light and refreshing. I would say this is the "lawn-mower" Tucher.
