Presentation: 16oz brown sleek euro style bottle with a drink before date clearly marked.
Appearance: Soft pale hazy yellow with a crown like white lace that floats all the way down.
Smell: Spicy with a mild black pepper aroma with a little melon and banana, from the fruity esters, in the nose also.
Taste: Smooth and crisp with a silky texture and nice carbonation holding this medium bodied brew together. Grain and wheat malt dominate the forefront though a subdued fruit and rounding spicy flavour that leads to a restrained hop bitterness. An underlying sweetness flows from start to finish with a bready yeasty flavour tagging along.
Notes: Top notch for the style, a must buy for all wheat beer lovers. Balanced to a T and goes down quicker than water. Add a slice of lemon to break in the novice beer drinker.

This is one of the best Hefes I've tried. Nice lemony aroma with a grainey touch and a slight earthy note. Color is a pale straw with a long lasting thick white head. Medium-light mouthfeel, about average for the style. Crisp carbonation and a light flavor of lemon, clove, bannana, and a peppery finish.

Presented in a svelte 16oz bottle like the one pictured and poured into my Paulaner hefeweizen glass. This brew had a hazy golden color topped by a towering foamy white head. The head was surprisingly durable and left nice lace behind.
The smell was predominantly grainy, dusty malt and clove with some lighter fruitiness. The banana aroma was missing, or at least so subdued I missed it. Instead, I noted some other tropical of melon-based notes.
The taste was quite satisfying: wheaty, lightly bready malt and fruity sweetness up front followed by the flavors of clove, a touch of coriander and a light dusting of pepper for a modestly spiced finish. The feel was light, with a nice creamy carbonation that made it very refreshing going down.
Overall, I was quite impressed with this hefeweizen. Drinkability was really good as the pint disappeared in short order. A real tasty brew with a lively feel. Worth picking up if you like wheat beers.

I love this beer! It is pretty common all over Franken in Bavaria and most Germans are pretty picky. So you know it is good. It is at almost every train station. If you are ever lucky enough to get it fresh in Nurnburg it is like heaven. Don't ruin this by making it a Cola Weizen or Banana Weizen. Some times some bartenders will stero type that on Americans.
Appearance- Dark hay yellow with a great head.
Smell- Fruity and banana like.
Mouthfeel- Not bad but is probably the only thing holding this beer back from being almost perfect.
Drinkability- Goes down smooth and even has a pleasant after taste.

16.9 oz bottle served in a weizen glass.
Hazy golden yellow color with a white head that thinned pretty quickly once a wedge of lemon was added. Bits of yeast on the bottom were effervescent during at least half the glass.
Aroma is faint spices, malted wheat and yeast.
Taste is a very well balanced blend of wheat beer flavors and a touch of citrus-like hops which became more pronounced after adding lemon.
Lighter end of medium bodied with a crisp, clean carbonation feel.
Extremely drinkable brew.

I had it for the first time at Egan's in Tuscaloosa, AL when it was on special.
A- Cloudy with some yeast sediments in the glass. It looks like a typical German weizen.
S- Some yummy banana comes across with a bit of clove.
T- Delicious. On top of the wheat flavor, there was bit of banana, clove, as well as hints of apples and bubblegum.
M- Just great. Flavor and carbonation went great together.
O- I was glad I tried this beer. German weizens have a tendency to be very good.

Poured from a .5l bottle with some kind of date.
A: 1 inch head. Cloudy orange with chunks of sediment, didnt really like that.
S: At first smelled a bit skunked. Fruity and spice.
T: Banana. Very good.
MF: Crisp and smooth.
D: Very drinkable.
I love this on tap. This is my first experience with it from a bottle. Whenever I've had it in the US they serve it with an orange slice, which is actually quite nice.

I had this on tap at the Olde Forge in Lanesborough MA, in a 0.5L German hefeweizen glass. The beer was golden yellow color, slightly head, bug poofy foam head. The aroma and taste were perfect hefeweizen, banana/colve and creamy butter. Nice slick and heavy mouthfeel, very drinkable.

16.9 oz brown bottle. Pale and hazy yellow in color, this Bier offered up a huge head with a sticky white lace all throughout. Snappy and banana-loaded in the nose. Fruity notes all over. Smooth and refreshing with a nice carbonation. The balance between the malt and yeasty esthers was really good. Great bready, yeasty flavor. Overall, fantastic. I have passed this one over for years, yet I have no idea why. One of my favorites available here in the States right now. I will reach for this one again in a heartbeat. Highly drinkable, refreshing, and yet still with enough "umph" to make veteran quaffers say "wow".
Zum wohl!

Appearance
Bright yellow and cloudy with a towering white head; head lingers and lingers, looking like a dollop of whipped cream; healthy stream of carbonation; some lacing left
Smell
Strong yeast aroma with some banana/clove notes
Taste & Mouthfeel
Bright and lively flavors; fruity (apples, pears), tart (somewhat lemony), a bit o' honey, and a lingering sweet doughy finish; crisp carbonation, somewhat thin body but ultra smooth; no weak points to speak of; it doesn't pack a huge punch, but it shouldn't since it's a helles--still, full-flavored
Overall
Flavor from start to finish, nailing the style perfectly. A really enjoyable brew.

Appearance: Poured a lemonade-like, cloudy, dishwater yellow. Three fingers of thick foam developed at the top and settled to a less dense cap about a finger thick before it thinned to a lacing.
Smell: It smells like a beautiful summer day. A sweet mixture of apple and banana, and a squeeze of lemon adds zest. Floral and caramel malts are also present. A bread-like wheat also comes through.
Taste: Oh, sweet nectar! Tastes great, especially after not having a hefe since October. So great, in fact, I'm guzzling it, completely ignoring this review. The apple from the smell is more pronounced in the taste than the banana, and the squeeze of lemon is still in attendance. It is much more bread-like. Has a yeasty tail, which is a welcome variant to the normal hops tingle that usually trails my tastings.
Drinkability: The hefeweizen style is unrivaled in drinkability, in my opinion. It's not even hot out and it still hits the spot. I'm being biased, but Tuchers Helles Hefe Weizen will do the job regardless.

Appearance: Tucher Hefeweizen pours an ultra-cloudy golden yellow, with a lovely billowy head to cap it off. This is exactly how a hefeweizen should look! There are also yeast chunks galore, which is right up my alley!
Smell: Banana is prominent in the aroma, but more banana bread than the fruit.
Taste: The taste follows the smell: quite bready with plenty of chewy yeast, just the way I like it! Not as citrusy as some hefeweizens.
Mouthfeel: The body is nice and creamy. It's also utterly smooth and very wet.
Drinkability: Light-bodied, smooth, full-flavored, low ABV...sounds pretty drinkable to me!
Notes: I underestimated this beer. Seeing as it's a Bavarian hefeweizen, I was expecting it to be good, but was not prepared for it to be as excellent as it is. This beer stands out for its bready taste and texture. Also, I'm a sucker for yeast, and this beer had a lot of it. I'm glad I got the end portion of this shared bottle, so as to get all the yeasty goodness possible.

A very thick head with a yellowish-orange tone. An average smell with a fruity citrus hint alongside the perceptible wheat.
The flavour is considerably good, light and dry malty taste, very soft on the mouth which still requires it to be tasted twice to fully perceive the fruity mixture. Highly recommendable.

Drank this many times on tap in Hohenfels, a mere 50km from the source! This is the freshest tasting beer I've ever had, but how can I go wrong so close to the brewery? Served in a weitzen glass with a beautiful five-finger head which gradually collapses into a nice long-lasting lace. Smell is of citrus and bananna with maybe a hint of cloves. Taste is hefe-perfection... bright and fresh with a tart sour wheat finish.

Here we go! Tucher is awesome! My buddy and I went to a heavy metal bar recently and we got the tall bottle of this stuff and albeit it was pricey, this stuff truly hit the spot.
Appearance is nice and thick with a strong, cloudy amber color with a frothy head. It looked incredibly fresh and felt really cold.
Smell was great. The beer smelt strong with wheat and some hops, but the wheat smelt excellent and really enhanced the overall bottle smell too.
Taste was great. The wheaty, frothy brew was nice and thick without any flaws. No outside factors harmed the brew and it felt rich, full and satisfying.
Mouthfeel was very good. It was filling, very thick for a hefeweizen and satisfying. As mentioned before, the strong wheat aroma really made this stuff awesome.
Drinkability is a must. If you're going for good stuff that you wanna pay a little bit of cash on, get some of this and throw an orange peel in there for some good measure. Your tongue will thank you later!

I got this brew from a "10 Best Beers of the World" pack from World Market in Claremont, FL..
Appearance: The beer pours with a nice mousy, three-finger white head with decent retention. The frothy goodness on top left light lacing on the glass. The brew is a cloudy golden/slightly amber color.
Smell: The nose is s little more geared toward banana but I want to say there is smirching richer behind it, like rum. A little citrus and spice is also in there with it.
Taste: Sweet malts hit your taste buds first and then the spice and banana/citrus. After the initial flavors hit you, it moves in to an earthy bitterness. Much more complex than most hef's I am familiar with.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation was good and the brew itself was pretty refreshing.
Drinkability: Great hef, a well-rounded beer that is good in all the right places.

Golden color, foamy head; fruit, spice and malt aroma. The flavor is fruity and spicy like the aroma with good malt sweetness, wheat and yeast flavors. Slightly dry malt finish with a touch of hops bitterness. Smooth and creamy; slighty thin body. Fairly long dry malt aftertaste retaining some of the spiciness.

Had on tap at TND in Wayne, PA served in a Weizen glass
Really light and bright with a big and think dense head that lasts and lasts.
Fabulous nose - strong banana and wheat nose backed by clove, spice, yeast and some sweet malt.
The taste follows the nose very well, some lemon with sweet malt and some grass.
Good carbonation in the finish, crisp and clean - good beer

Pours a hazy pale golden color with a light and airy white head that coats the walls of the glass as is recedes. Nose is mildly fruity banana with some strong spicy notes of clove and fresh-cracked black pepper. Medium in body with a very smooth and silky mouthfeel. Taste is light creamy banana up front followed by some yeasty and bready notes. Some lemony citrus notes come through in the end leaving a crisp finish. This is a very nice, though not outstanding, Hefe; however, it goes down so easily its scary.

A well made weizen beer. It has the lemon citrus tastes and also is very refreshing on a hot day with some light food. The head and Brussels lace run down as they form a tight white line as the beer is sipped from the Wheat glass. Oe of the better Weizen out there and also as usual highly carbonated but very smooth.

I can't believe I have not reviewed this beer. Its a hefe that I have enjoyed for a while now. It pours a slightly golden yellow color with the requisite cloudy appearance. A small head sat atop this one, but it was poured to minimize head. The aroma is bananas and cream, slightly sweet, but from the phenolics, not the malt. The flavor is wheaty, and full of banana, cream and clove, very well balanced and very nice. The feel was moderate with a light and lively carbonation that danced across my tongue. I think this is a fine example of the style. I highly recommend it.

A: Pours an absolutely beautiful vibrant yellow orange with an angelic haziness. A medium pour produces two inches of dense white head. Poured into my Weihenstephan glass. Dear god, a half inch of foamy head is lingering. I can tell just from the look of this beer that it will be very good.
S: A melody of fruit esters wafting up combining with a subdued and refined wheat creating a pearlike sensation. Definite spice is present although I can't specify more.
T: A very polished product of once again refined wheat and milder fruit. Murmandsmus! This beer is so well balanced that trying to disearn flavors is a difficult talk. I'm having a hard time placing the fruit...cantaloupe?
M: Medium bodied with near perfect CO2. Spot on.
D: Average. What more can one say?
A fantastic hefe-weisen with some unique characteristics. Top notch. I would seek this beer out again in a heartbeat.

a hazy blonde color, champagne-like bubble streams. shorter head than paulaner, but good lace.
aroma is fresh clove, but not metallic like penn weizen.
taste is fresh banana bread, and it's even easy to imagine tiny bits of walnut in there. excellent.
not slippery smooth like paulaner. carbonation a little prickly and scrubby, but pleasant enough although the body leaves a slightly watery impression.
refreshing and fairly crisp with a great banana bread aftertaste. more like hacker than paulaner. this one is VERY hard to drink slowly!

Appearance:
Man, is this head formation INTENSE. A good 3 fingers of creamy head forms quickly and regresses slowly - lacing is excellent. It's fairly translucent for a hefeweizen; the color is a very light gold with a hint of yellow-orange.
Smell:
The first thing that comes to mind is spice; I'm not sure which ones are present, but this is the most obvious smell. Aside from this, it's quite complex; though largely floral, it has a hint of what I would consider to be akin to a green banana. It's definately an experience, to say the least.
Taste:
Maltiness hits first and then fades into subtle hop tones. It's almost as if a banana-flavored biscuit turned into a hoppy grain of wheat (as odd as that sounds). That being said, the balance is excellent - not too sweet, nor too bitter.
Mouthfeel:
The carbonation is mild, but the body is fairly thick. It's slightly on the creamy side, but I'm not sure if that's the head I'm tasting or the beer itself. Either way, an amazing aftertaste remains - it's like a more intense version of the malt flavor(s).
Drinikability:
This is definately a beer you want to sip on. It's fairly thick, but the flavor is downright amazing. You do NOT want to pass it up - it's something quite unique (given the style).
Summary:
I picked up a pint of this for ~$3.00 at a local liquor store. Damn - am I impressed. This is probably one of the better hefeweizens I've tasted, even though it's largely devoid of the traditional wheat character. I'd love to try this on-tap. Regardless, it's a must-try if you've never had it.

This beer pours a very cloudy yellow with a small head that hangs around a while and leaves some lacing. The aroma is wheaty, but also has a bit of citrus sourness. The flavor is very nice. Creamy with bananas and clove and that wheat character. Body is just right and the drinkability is good. Not the best hefe I've had, but still a darn good one.
