A definite dive, with a focus on american craft.

Long, dark bar. Pinball machines. Revolting bathroom. Enclosed outdoor patio (w/cannabis). Nice selection of taps.

Cheap shaker pint of blind pig - lots of standards on the list. Visited on a slow afternoon - can't even imagine what happens in this place after dark. Not sure I really want to know.

I have never seen this place while driving down Market St but then again I don't specifically look for bars while I'm out driving about. The group of people I went with went to the bar while me and my friend walked to Ike's Place for a bite to eat. When I got back the first thing I noticed is the red, this place is very red and there were also 2 dogs there which I thought was out of the ordinary. I ordered a beer, Little Sumpin' Sumpin', first and since I didn't see the wall with all the beers being served right above me I went by the taps first then I started to go off the wall, they had Pliny on tap and DFH 90 minute to name a couple and of course SF breweries like Anchor and Speakeasy.

While waiting for the bartender I noticed they had some 13 themed bottles behind the bar such as Stone 13th Anniversary and Lagunitas Lucky 13.Alt. Service was a little slow but that was because there was only one bartender and it was a little busy but she was very nice and quick once I got my request in.

Me and my friends played pool for a little bit since they have a pool table in the back. One of the things I liked was the music, this place has a very punk vibe to it and they really demonstrated it in the music on the jukebox. There's nothing better than sipping on a pint, playing pool and listening to Bad Brains.

If you're in the neighborhood I'd say check this place out.

Pretty solid place on Market Street. The selection, while better than many standard bars in the city, will not blow you away. Pliny always on tap, along with a regular stable of other solid craft brews, but the list rarely changes. They also have a list of beers in bottles, but I'd stick with the draught selections since there are enough good ones and the prices are great.

The atmosphere works for me. I like the long bar and have no complaints about the bartenders. Pinball machines in this bar are another plus. It's fairly dark and there are two levels. As I mentioned, the bar is very long, which is nice.

The prices are great, especially considering the location. Some of the best prices on beer in SF. Nice happy hour as well.

Just a couple steps from Cafe du Nord, so this is a great place to stop for a nice beer before, during setbreak, or after a show there.

This place would be an A if it were anywhere but San Francisco. It's a quality dive - watch for the bartender who brings his dog to work. On my last visit the draft Anderson Valley Boont ($4) was in good shape, and the taps also included Dogfish 90, Pliny the Elder, and Duvel Green. The bottle selection looked good too. Happy hour ends at 8pm - $1 off drafts.

If you enjoy walking the hills, you could do a nice pub hike from here to Toronado, then to Magnolia. Both ends of the route would be pretty close to N-Judah Muni stops.

Stopped here on a trip to Frisco this past weekend. After a four mile walk up and down the hills I was pretty relieved to finally hit this place. It was a Saturday night so the bar was obviously packed. Small and darkly lit with punk posters on the walls and emanating from the jukebox. Misfits is by far my favorite drinking music. I was very surprised by the beer selection for such a tiny place. Large selection of draughts and bottles. I had a Chimay White on tap and a bottled La Fin Du Monde. Despite being very crowded I was always served fast. I really dug the place. I only wish we could've spent a little more time there; before I knew it my party was on their way out the door to the next dive.

True punk rock beer bar. (aren't they all) This place located on church and market near chow, safeway, and a stumble away from toronado is a great place to hang out, have a beer and indulge the dark side. Lucky 13 has one of the best jukeboxes in the city, always a seasonal lagunitas on tap, and healthy selection of beers from around the world. There is an ATM upstairs in case you forget your money, and usually a line for the pool table. I have been going to this place for years, and it is a great halfway point between toronado and zeitgeist. Go there.

This place is a pretty good uuper market street haunt of mine. They have a pretty extensive draught selection with many California micros lining the handles, like almost every other decent bar in this beer drenched town. The atmosphere is interesting and I really like the little outdoor patio smoking area and all the heathens that hang out back there...you don't even want to know what i've seen back there...ha! anyways the beers are always pretty fresh and tasty and the service is nice as well...oh..I almost forgot...the jukebox here is awesome! Yeah, so that about sums it up...

It looks like a dive on Market St., but a mecca for beer lovers. It has more than 20 on tap and 30 or more bottles and the tap during happy hour is mostly $2. It carries both local microbrews, such as Speakeasy and Anchro as well as other famous ones. There is free popcorn but no food. They welcome outside food of course. There is a Cybel's pizza close by that you can get slices or pie to have with your brews. There is also a backyard that you can sit and smoke, juke box and a pool table to keep you busy.
