Picked up a growler after having a couple on-tap.

A- Pours a hazy orange-ish body with a thin head that falls to a thinner cap. Leaves some nice lacing, though.

S- Citrusy hops up front: grapefruit, pineapple, a little mango. Sweet malt aroma is just able to make its way through.

T- Same citrusy hops first, but a nice piney bite also shows through. Very good bitterness level.

MF- Nice moderate body with good carbonation levels. Flavors really last.

Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a hazy, orange-brown coloring with a filmy ring of a head. Opaque in color. Aromas of a light toffee and citrus blend, not distinct, but enticing. Flavors are a bit muddled, with an awkward bitter hops presence that just seems out of place. Smokey and tangy, the flavors collide in an abrasive way. Decent cling, but that doesn't really help much in the long run. Aftertase is slightly sour and overly clumsy, with a tangy hops presence. Finish is cloying and bitter at the same time. Not impressed.

On tap today at the source.
Pours a hazy medium golden color with a decent sized off white head that displays minimal retention with decent lacing. Smells of bitter pine with hints of citrus and little to no malt presence. Taste is harsh piney citrusy bitterness that lingers long into the end of every sip. Quite a drying enamel melting finish. Taste again has little to no malt presence. Medium body and carbonation level with a resinous almost sticky mouthfeel. The brewery calls this an APA, that is quite a stretch! It's IPA if not a double although it might be a shade or two darker than guidelines. I found this to be flavorful, but the bitterness is a little bit harsh.

Welcome to Manchester!!! Arrived at Manchester airport for a 1/2 marathon over in New Market. Was picked up by my bro-in-law and quickly swept away to Milly's Tavern to begin our pre-race inebriation. The Hoplicious was a solid beer, with a great nose and taste. The color was clear Golden with thin head that left a good lace. There was pine and citrus that dominated the nose, and this description could be used to describe the taste as well. The mouthfeel was fine...could drink alot of it if I had to. Certainly worth a try.

I had this on-tap the other night, then saw that it was also available on cask. On-tap, I think I prefer the recent Peakbagger Pale Ale over Hoplicious, though I haven't had them in the same sitting, so it's hard to say for sure. Still, the cask Hoplicious takes the cake.

A: Pours a nice, cloudy, gold with a big, fluffy head. Looks like a nice cask pale ale to me!

S: Nice, grassy, slightly piney hop smell; very pronounced and inviting.

T: Fresh, grapefruit hops dominate with a good malt backbone; some resiny, floral aspects to the hops, but mostly they lean grapefruit. Very nicely balanced; an excellent example of a cask APA.

M: Very smooth and pretty full, a nice feeling beer for sure.

D: This one is incredibly drinkable; very well-made, excellently balanced, the hops are present without being overly dry, and the ABV is moderate enough to make this reasonably sessionable. This was my last beer of the night, but had it been my first, it likely also would have been my second. I hope to see this beauty again.

Really good "american pale ale". I usually get this on tap after one of Milly's oatmeal stouts and the pair works very well for me.

Not as hoppy as some other IPA's I've come across, but the hops are prevelant. Great aroma of hops and citrus and definitely an easy light and crisp drinking beer.

Enjoyed on tap with the brewer.
An APA or an IPA, with Pacific Northwest. Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial. Unfiltered. Drying. A good bitterness overall, some sugar to balance it. Orangey with some lace. Aroma of C-hop.Appropriate carbonation. IBU 43

Served in a pint glass, the beer was a hazy gold color with a small to medium sized head. A goodly amount of lacing. Citrus aroma, with a bit of malt. Strong grapefruit taste, which lasted quite some time, a bit of malt. The beer was pretty well-balanced, and quite good to drink.

Another new offering from Milly's that I opted to give a try during a visit last night.

Shaker glass filled close to the brim with a slightly cloudy, medium golden liquid. Head was fine and white, ebbing quickly to a rim-job, with scattered lacing here and there. Nose consisted of rindy citrus, with little malt coming forth. Feel was medium-smooth on the tongue, and the body was just a smidge under medium.

Flavor had some lightly toasted malt, with subtle caramel notes. Lots of citrus is present here, with more rindy-ness as well as a resiny, piney character. All this hoppiness lasts nicely during the finish. A solid APA, bordering on IPA-ness to me. Zum Wohl!!

Pours hazed golden with a thin head that leaves plenty of lacing.

The smell is of leafy, citric (lemony), piney hops. Tangy with zesty. Just an underlying whiff of grainy malt.

The taste is aptly named - hoplicious is right! It is a hoppy brew, and done very well! It has a lemon merangue character with leafy/herbal/piney character mixing in. Enough pale malt keeps bitterness in check and adds depth and balance, while letting hops shine. It has a bitter, yet rounded, finish.

It has a medium body with crisp carbonation.

I don't know what the abv is, but it's well-covered. I could drink this hoppy delight all-day long! It was already entered in, though I'm the first to review it. Seems more like an IPA than an APA because of it's hop character (though there is balance, and maybe the abv brings it to APA - on the border of the styles anyway.). Bottom line - nice American hop compleixities going on here and a delicious brew!
