The Mellow Mushroom has one of the better beer selections in Tuscaloosa, which isn't saying much at all. The atmosphere is pretty nice, it's a dark mellow place to hang out. The tap selection is pretty decent ranging from some abita beers to sierra nevada and the range of usual imports and domestics. The value is not that good to be honest, for a pint of import or good domestic beers expect to pay about 4 dollars, and recently they have gone to using small plastic mugs that are TERRIBLE. The pizza is usually very good, as well as the sandwiches they sell. Overall if you find yourself stuck in Tuscaloosa, you could find much worse than the Mellow Mushroom.
