Bright and well lit. Clean store. Beer is all the way on the left side of the store. Craft is in the left most aisle. Next aisle is bmc and the like. Back has one cooler mixed with some craft. Selection is pretty good with just about everything that is big right now. Imperial stout trooper: they had an entire display full of it. Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout plenty on the shelf. Founders bottled within the last month; imperial and breakfast stout. Great bottle selection.
Super pricey, though. Some of the prices were a good $4 more than ninety 9 bottles.
Staff are super friendly. Seem to know a little about beer.
I feel like this place has improved immensely in the past few months. Prices are a bit gaudy, but selection is fantastic.

With their recent expansion that have significantly improved their selection - adding more big bottles, and a lot more craft beer. Pricing is still the best in the Norwalk area - great to see!
BevMax is exactly what you'd expect from the name - a warehouse of beer, wine and liquor. Hopefully their current renovation will mean an increase beer craft beer selection, because now its primarily a place to get liquor and cheap beer.
Service staff are a plenty, but not particularly interested in helping, nor particularly knowledgeable. If you want to get a 24 of miller lite, this is the place to go, but if you want to try a new Belgian, keep looking - Stew's upgraded selection and the new Ninety9 Bottles are the place to go.

This is a fairly typical Connecticutt wine/booze/beer outlet, with the emphasis on the first 2. The beer is "in the back" . Its located just a few hundred yards from the Stew Leonards in Norwlk, not far from route 95. The brew is housed on a couple of large metel shelves and also in the rear cooler. Nothing very interesting or hard to find, but they do carry a few selections of Brooklyn, Harpoon, Allagash, Ommegang, etc and a smattering of the expected Brit and Germanic imports. The highlight of the visit was a few bottles of Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner. An employee told me they do get some Thomas Hooker varieties in sometimes. If you go to Stew's for food for the family, this place may be worth a pop in.
