Pours a nice clean/clear golden brown color, nice carbonation, with a nice little fizzy white head, with some sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, slight hop note, with lots of caramel. The taste is slightly sweet, malty, nice little touch of hops, and caramel. Medium body. A pretty tasty brew.

Poured from 22oz bottle into imperial pint glass.
L- Rich ruby golden color with brilliant clarity. Minimal head that is off white.
S- A rich bouquet of fruity esters compliment malt with dried fruit notes. Minimal hop presence.
T- A decidedly malt-forward beer with sweet and fruity characteristics. Bitterness to support sweetness, but minimal hop flavor.
F- Substantial body with a nice creamy mouthfeel.
O- A solid Wee Heavy with no significant flaws. Greater malt complexity would improve the overall experience.

Rich malty peanut brittle and toffee like bitterness. Hop presence is their but the bitterness is not balanced. Would of like a bit of a thicker mouthfeel and richer malt sweetness. A little peat or smoke would of been nice. Okay for a two dollar bomber.

Portland Brewing Co. Noble Scot Scottish ale- 6.5% abv.
A: dark deep burgundy red with more brown when the light shines though.
S: dark malt.
T: dark sweet malt, basic slight spice of hoppishness.
M: drinkable
O: decent. Tastes like they wanted to make a more interesting brew than a macro beer but at the same price: $2.50 a bottle isn’t bad at all. 3.3/5.

Pours a half finger of head on a hazy dark straw colored body.
The aroma mostly caramel with a little smoke and lemon in the background.
The taste has lots of caramel, toasted malt and some smoke. Nice profile.
The texture is slightly sticky with moderate carbonation.
I like it.

12oz bottle (twist off) poured into a pint glass. 208 A2 0852 appears to be the date code, printed on the bottom of the bottle.
Pours lightish, brown-ruby, middling head for a Scotch Ale. Not hazy. Lots of slow, active carbonation. Smell is sweet, woody, kind of like maple syrup with a little extra smokiness. Maybe a little cherry aroma.
Flavor is boring. Sweet, with little character or dimension. None of the smokiness or woodiness seems to come through, just slightly bready, sweet, slightly yeasty.
Mouthfeel is OK, moderately thick. Overall, not exciting at all.
