Medium gold color, medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty, fruity and slightly sweet. A medium malted lager, medium hopped, slightly spicy. Full flavor, medium bodied. Nice smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and smooth. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

12oz : nonic
Pours a clear, golden orange with a foamy, slightly off white head and nice lacing.
Grassy, spicy, lightly floral hops with a crackery malt backing.
Medium body, foamy, fizzy carbonation.
For the style, a good beer. Overall, not unpleasant, but somewhat forgettable.

Pours a clear amber colored brew without much head. Far darker than most lagers.
Smell is sweet and malty with some faint fruity scents and toasted wheat scent.
Taste is weaker that expected. Taste is weak and sweet noticeable bitterness after a bit but there isn't much here to comment on.
Mouthfeel is weak.
Piss poor drinkability, I WILL NOT be ordering this again.

A very clear dilute-amber brew with a thin white head and fine lace, Zig Zag has a light malty nose but no carbonation at all. Ironically, in light of all the ales Ive had served too cold, MacTarnahans could have served this lager a bit cooler. The taste emerges from a corn/sulfur matrix to an agreeable platform of clean, refreshing modesty.
This is very standard fare and makes for a satisfying thirst quencher though the lack of fizz betrayed an old tap.

medium golden lager that smelled real fresh. decent hopping and smooth. Mouthfeel was also just right, not too thick or thin. Drinkability very nice as beer is refreshing. Solid choice when in the lager mood.

Smooth and good natured, this was fairly well balanced.

Presentation: On tap.
Appearance: Amber in colour with a thin ring of lace.
Smell: Toasted malts and grain.
Taste: Toasted malt and a hop bitterness which shows up a little more when the brew dries out. Leaves the mouth dry and grainy.
Notes: A pretty good American lager.
