Poured from a 500ml bottle into a straight pint glass.
Pours a dark amber/light brown colour with a decent but short lived head.
Smells fairly malty, with a hint of yeast too.
Tastes of quite a tangy but wholesome malt flavour, with a slight hop bitterness.
Overall quite a nice beer, wouldn't be my first choice though.

in a collection of three kellerbiers in that evening i must say it was my personal favorite. it was also what would appear to be the thickest. it had the most distinct bready yeastiness so it didn't feel as airy and lager like as the others but i don't think this was out be picked up when singled out.
pour was cloudy orange brownish. nose of a bundle of sticks and caramel. bready nose. bready feel but a tad bit of sourness but in the turning wheat malt sour characteristics and the subtle but very real smokey back up in the palate. this had hints of apple sour. apple pie sweet, and the dusty wood of a an attic. although the intial feeling would be that it would come out too sweet by the nose. it has a very firm but not comprominsing bitter straw finish.

Amber in color, clear, with a compact off-white head, plenty of carbonation and good lace-work.
A toffyish malt aroma with a delicate salty touch dominates the nose. A subtle touch of hops and a whiff of yeast complete the smell. Brings back memories of the whisky I had last night.
The taste is sweet and has a pleasant clean finish. Hops are definitely present (especially in the after-taste) and so are a fruity and a yeasty note. This beer has quite a rich taste and is very nutricious.
The medium body and smooth mouthfeel work well with the taste. Carbonation is pretty strong initially, but decreases in strength soon (which didn't bother me).
A very malty beer that differs from the Kellerbier's I have tasted in that it isn't cloudy and is a little less yeasty.

Malty aroma with hints of dark toasted bread and nuts. Poured a small cream colored head that disappeared quickly leaving the beer headless (gasp!). The body is about the consistancy of water, and the carbonation is subdued, which makes for an easy drinking beer. The flavor is a combination of caramel malt and hop tea flavors. A nice enjoyable kellerbier that is maltier then most, which works for me.

BB 06-03-06. Nice head and a nice amber beer that is crystal clear. Nose is that of good franconian beer giving maximum maltyness and has even a oaky note maybe litle oxidated but not disturbing the good overall note.Litle (yeast)sharp and grainy also but to me just giving that extra bite. Taste is full and good also with agaqin lots of maltiest malts, litle sweet and in aftertaste moderatly bittered. Fine and balanced brew that's well worth a try and probably when consuming really fresh a hell of a lot better then the one I sampled.
