Clear golden orange body with a tall white foamy head. Scattered rings of lace were left clinging to the glass. Sweet malts with a nice citric hoppy bite in the nose with some floral and piney notes. Flavor starts off with a lightly bitter citric hoppiness with a mild caramel malt. Hops are juicy in this one for sure adding to the sweetness. Could have used a bit more bitterness but it was balanced and still edged on the hoppy side. Solid mouthfeel and goes down smooth. Easy drinking and refreshing stuff that will fix that hop craving.

Had on tap at Grill One Eleven.

Appearance was a really nice dark tan into light brown with a nice head.

Smell was huge of hops and citrus.

Taste was great at first with a huge hop bitterness but didn't go anywhere from there. Stayed bitter and lingered on the back of the tongue long after it was gone.

Mouthfeel was good. Very easy to drink other than the lingering bitter all the way through.

Draft. Pours a hazed apricot color with a white head that leaves nice lace on the glass. Sweet aroma of orange, grapefruit, and slight pineapple in the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Citrus sweetness gives way to a building hop bitterness that starts subtle and builds in momentum until the very end. Nice IPA and one that I would drink again anytime.

On tap at HopCat. Arrives in a nonic pint, a lightish golden with a slight cloudiness - lighter than your average golden orange IPA. Thin head that leaves a light lacing.

Smell is pineapple, floral notes, hints of lemon - not much malt here.

Taste is similar but with emphasis on a strong drying, bitter finish. The fruit notes in the entry are there but as the glass dissipates they are not as lively as I would like and give way to the bitterness - not the balance I desire. No malts to really speak of. Lively carbonation, a nice drinkable IPA.

On tap at the brewpub.

A-Pours a cloudy golden with hints of peach, a thin white head and good lacing.

S-A good strong citrus hop kick dominates, with very little malt presence.

T-Nice moderate bitterness throughout, this is very reminiscent of a West Coast style. Grapefruit and lemon up front, with an earthy bitterness in the finish.

M-Medium bodied and a bit oily.

D-Very drinkable, a bit unbalanced toward the bitter side but that's ok with me.

A - Had this on tap at The Livery. Pours 1 finger of white head that leaves some nice lacing and has a decent retention. The beer is a hazy golden orange.

S - Some pine and floral hops mixed in with a little bit of lemon and citrus. Some sweet malts make their appearance in the background.

M - A nice mouth feel, medium in body and goes down smooth.

T - Begins with a little bit of citrus followed by the sweet malts. Next up are some pine and floral hops and it finishes with a blast of grapefruit from the cascade hops. Has a slightly bitter finish.

An excellent example of an American IPA. Hop heads won't be disappointed with this one.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, coppery body with a small, white head.

Smell: Floral, lightly lemony aroma with a backing of standard pale malts.

Taste: Pale malts with no more than a slight sweetness. Pop of grapefruit flavor and a hit of citric acid. Floral flourish on the palate. Dash of mineral water. Altogether bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: A pleasant, refreshing, decently drinkable IPA.

Served on tap in a 5 oz sample tumbler, at cellar temp.

Piney nose stands right out, with a very slight crystal maltiness in the background.

Color is orange-amber and crystal clear, with a minimal white head that leaves good lacing.

Flavor resiny at the start, fair crystal malt as it goes down, with a sweet hop finish from the big load of Cacades.

Great mouthfeel. No hint of the alcohol despite 7% ABV. Goes down easy, with moderately low bitterness. Moderately low in maltiness which lets the hop flavor and sweetness stand out--which is essentially my favorite style of beer, the California XPA.

This is a delightful beer, could be my everyday go-to. Wouldn't mind having a kegerator full at home.

This beer is a built for a hop head. It is a bit unbalanced in my opinion but it has a nice big sharp pine attribute in both the nose and the mouth. It is served a hazed gold color with a decent white head and adequate lacing. The mouthfeel is not quite what the Double Paw was and therefore I sort of overlooked this one moving on to something I enjoyed a bit more. Still it is worth a try.

Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!
