I didn't even realize that London Bridge had a beerfly listing. Really it shouldn't; it is only in the loosest sense of the word a "Beer Bar", in that it is a bar and it sells beer. The last time I was there, this past weekend, they no longer had any Microbrews on tap, unless you count Yeungling.
The atmosphere is kind of dismal. It is almost always dead, unless they have a band playing, in which case it is so loud and crowded that I don't want to be there at all. On the plus side there is usually plenty of seating and a quiet atmosphere to enjoy your macro lager.
The service is reasonably good. The bar is usually empty enough that the server has no trouble providing quick service.
The selection is kind of poor. Once upon a time they managed to have some decent imports and they tried to keep some local stuff on tap, but this is no longer the case. Now the taps contain nothing more craft oriented than Harp and Yeungling.
The food is decent. Standard pub fare such as fish and chips, reasonably well done.
Overall this is not an awful bar, and it is the only option downtown that isn't packed wall to wall with hipsters. Nevertheless, if you go to London Bridge expecting anything approaching good beer, you will be sorely disappointed.

Rogue, Rogue, Rogue...Dead guy, Kells, Juniper Pale Ale along with 15 other pours and a good selection of bottles. I traveled the east coast meet west coast Rogue circuit twice and enjoyed each pour.
This is a local watering hole with an extremely friendly staff and clientele. Dollar bills with patrons names and drawing on the walls and ceiling add a creative flare to an otherwise weathered appearance. Don't be turned off by the closed look of the place with beer posters dominating the windows and front door. Outdoor seating right outside the front door with music takes advantage of the open container law that allows drinking in the streets (a remaining benefit from the super bowl). London Bridge is worth a visit when in downtown Jacksonville to enjoy a couple with some friendly locals, ask for Alan he has an appreciation for beer and interesting stories to share. Two block from the Riverwalk makes it within walking distance from all major downtown hotels. London Bridge is not falling down as the last review seemed to indicate but it does seem to need some support from out of town beer fans.

Atmosphere run-down but would have thought charming if otherwise the place was good. Window air conditioner blows directly in your face if you pick the wrong seat.
Food was terrible--even compared to the stuff in those cheap little frozen meals I normally eat--and overpriced.
Beer selection disappointing. About 10 or 12 taps but many were out. Nothing but grocery store beers available. Would have given 1.5 for selection except I assume more beer is sometimes around. Guiness, Miller Light, Stella, Harp ....
Cost 4.50 a glass for macro swill featuring a weird off-taste (dirty tap lines?). No plans to return.

Located in downtown Jacksonville. The atmosphere was great--everyone at the bar was very friendly. There was even a guy with his dog at the bar. The bartender was knowledgable and friendly. Dollar bills with patron's names were pinned all over the place, including the ceiling. Oddly enough there was a safe in the restroom. I'm sure that has provided hours of drunken entertainment for many a customer. They had twenty taps with a good selection of quality beers--Spaten's Octoberfest and Optimator, Tucher, Stella, ESB, etc. Prices were quite reasonable.

I almost give this all 5's its that nice, but I reserve 5's for something out of this world. I added this pub and was surprised it wasn't already on the directory. This is a nice pub, it has its British pub-style look w/ more space than it appears to have on the outside. You can sit outside at the tables in the middle of downtown Jacksonville or you can go inside where it feels like you are somewhere completely different from the city. Which has 2 seperate rooms, one w/ a large (very old) TV and the other room has more seating and a pool table. They have live music that plays often, Wednesdays is a good blues band & Fridays has a young kid that can play the piano probably better than anyone I've ever seen. The beer selection is great, they have about 12-15 beers on tap. I prefer the London Porter that they serve in pint glasses. They have good specials for happy hour (which is 7 days a week) for bottle & draft. They have a menu w/ the selections that include the alcohol content I believe, I haven't looked at the menu in a while. Try the fish & chips and enjoy a London Porter. Enjoy!
