(Visited 03/2011): Thirsty Dog's brewery/tap room is located on Ghent Rd not too far off I-76. There is a decent-sized lot along the building.
The interior is long and narrow with the bar running along the right side and tables on the left. Rather large bottle collection as well as barrels add to the decor. They also have a cooler for to-go beer.
Thirsty Dog has around 12 of their brews on tap. Many of the standard offerings such as Labrador Lager, Old Leghumper, Cerberus, Irish Setter and Siberian Night. Some unique options as well such as Barrel Aged Siberian Night.
Service was good on a weekend afternoon. The staff knows the beers well and is courteous.
Overall I am glad there is an option for Thirsty Dog in Akron again so many years after the demise of the brewpubs. Definitely worth a stop in the Akron area.

Just opened as of early October 2010! 12 beers on tap served inside the brewery, at a rustic bar. Nice girl bartending, very helpful.
Not much atmosphere here (no music, decor, games, screens), very industrial. Just beer inside a working brewery! It is cool to see the forklifts going back and forth carrying hops, and it smells all over. I actually like this better than, say, a sports bar!
No food either (not even free pretzels or something like that), but they may have something in the future.
Among the beers on tap... Hoppus Maximus, Cerberus, Siberian Night, Old Leghumper, Orthus. Nice selection, I only missed an IPA or two.
Quality is very high. Everything is incredibly fresh and brewed right there, around you. Doesn't get any better!
Prices were maybe a little steep for a taproom. $4 for a pint, $5 for a snifter of the specialty beers, $5 for a growler plus $12 or $15 for a refill. It's almost like bar prices! But it is worth being at the source.
If you're in Akron, check the Dog room out!!!
