This beer is made with one grain and 4 Belgian yeasts, a deceptive golden color, and a malty palate lend complexity to this Belgian Trippel Ale.

This brew didn't have much head on it and no lacing at all. The appearence doesn't do this brew much justice. It's got a very nice golden color with some little specs of stuff floating in it. The aroma is super sweet. It reminded me instantly of Dogfish Head's Midas Touch. I pick up some type of Pear aroma and some hefewiezen aromas too like banana and clove. Not a bad brew at all from Thirsty God, impressive actually!

I've had a good bit of Trippels now and this just ain't it chief. It does get better as it warms so I encourage letting it sit but there's just something...odd going on. I've tried my best but this specific Trippel is just not for me.
If you let it sit a goooood minute though it's much more palatable.
Speaking of palatable, the keg has been tapped for a little over a week now and NOW it tastes like a clean trippel. Very weird. Very good actually but idk if the keg/bottle this too early or what. I'm not changing the rating cuz it seems wildly inconsistent

Terrible. Cloying caramel up front followed by heavy alcohol aftertaste that feels like watered down cheap whiskey. I've noticed a good, positive, brewer supportive spirit in the reviews on Ba so in this spirit I will not score this below a 2.
However, this is terrible. Duvel is my go to. Try it. Not this. Yuck!
I went for a return try. Even worse. This is terrible. Don't buy. pick up a pint of Johnny Walker Red instead.

And now, back to our already scheduled brewery horizontal, already in progress. This beer completes yet another (!) brewery horizontal as I work to eradicate the Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody. I am thinking that these must have been part of a mixed-12 pack or a case at Country Garden Six Pack (CG6P) at one point & then they decided to single them out. No matter to me! I was happy to take one of each. I usually go lowest to highest in terms of ABV, but the first one was slightly out of turn due to the previous beer also being an Oktoberfest/Märzen. Please forgive my transgression as I get things back on track!
From the Bottle: "Unleash the Flavor"; "Cerberus Belgian Style Trippel Ale"; "CERBERUS [-] The three headed Hellhound of Greek Mythology, that stood at the gates to Hades, lends his name and three heads to this elegant, full[-]bodied Belgian Style Trippel Ale. A deceptive golden color and wonderful malty palate bring bold complexity to this big brew."; "Unfiltered, decant if desired"; "IBU's = 31, OG = 23° P."
I liked that it was unfiltered so first, I cut away the gold foil wrapper (!) surrounding the bottle's (!) cap & neck. I then Pop!ped the cap, having gained access to it. Next was a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting chalice. Mine was so gentle that I raised nary more than wisps, but I was okay with that since much of the lees remained in the bottle for a second pour later. I charged the chalice up to the 25-cl line & stopped there. The beer was a hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5), which was okay, given that they had copped to it. Nose had a fruitiness like golden raisins as well as a musty Belgian yeastiness, like old newspapers discovered in the attic. Mmm. Mouthfeel was viscous & syrupy! Wow. Even for all of its aging, it was still quite solid! The taste was very fruity - golden raisins; pears; apples - Golden Delicious & Red Delicious, no Granny Smith tartness; peaches & tangerines, all with that yeasty mustiness adding up to a slight vinousness. Mmm. Finding this aged & on clearance was like my first encounter with aged Chimay (Red) in 1985 - nice to let someone else do the aging for me & then fob it off on clearance! ;=) The one drawback in all of this was that it had become super-smooth. Yes, there was a wee bit of heat, but not what probably existed originally. Phew! Finish was, as a result, super-dry, again getting back to that vinousness mentioned earlier. Think an unadorned, steel-fermented dry white wine. Mymymy. I am going to see if any more is left if/when they reopen! YMMV.

The beer pours an orange color with a very small head. Body is a bit hazy. During the tasting there was little lacing.
The aroma is of banana, clove, yeast, malt and caramel.
Good mouthfeel and carbonation. Smooth and easy drinking.
Taste is a malty treat supported by a bit of hoppiness and sweetness. The expected banana and clove notes mesh nicely The ABV is only slightly noticeable,.
Note: there is a bourbon barrel aged version of this beer that clocks in at 12%.
Overall, a very enjoyable tripel.

12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 5/29/18, had 1/17/19.
Pours a bright, lightly hazy golden color, with a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of Belgian yeast, wheat, spices- maybe including cloves and coriander, some malt, faint bubble gum that fades, a bit of a sweet aroma. The flavor is similar- Belgian yeast, malt, candi sugar, wheat, lighter spices. A light hop bitterness up front and on the finish, a touch sweet. Smooth, a good light to medium body, well carbonated.
A fairly classic rendition, but a notch below some others. Good aromas and flavors, certainly enjoyable. Worth a try.

Golden color with copious amounts of buoyant yeast giving it a hazy appearance. Smells fruity with a hint of bubblegum. Tastes semi sweet with a hefty punch of malt, mildly carbonated so it goes down smooth. Tiny bit of alcohol taste present. Overall, not bad. With a bit more tinkering this brew could be outstanding.

On-tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Aromas of pale malts and hints of apples are present in the nose.
T: The taste has a touch of pale malts with mostly flavors of underlying candi sugars.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer hides its alcohol very well from the taste.
Serving type: on-tap
