Notes:
Light golden in color. Dry and crisp with a semi assertive, Fuggles hop bitterness. Hops are prominent but not overwhelming. Overall, a well balanced representation of the golden ale style.

Another gift from Sam Knocken who apparently has some source for out-of market beers. Cool by me!
My pour created two-plus fingers of dense, fluffy, eggshell-white head with good retention. Color was a deep coppery-amber with NE-quality clarity. Nose was redolent with grassy Noble hops. Mouthfeel was medium, approaching full and the taste was both immediately grassy and then followed by a lager-like honey flavor. Yum! Finish was semi-dry with the hops and malt working well together to create a nice balance.

had on tap at the brewery--served into a pint glass.
Appearance: 1/2 inch head, gold in color, clear, minimal carbonation
Smell: grass and some fruit
Taste: caramel, grass, and some citrus hops of the finish
Mouthfeel: moderate carbonation, light bodied, crisp, sweet start with a bitter end.
Overall: A unique lager that has just enough of a sweet twist to make it stand out. I like the creativity Woodstock uses and this is no exception. A sessionable summer beer.
