A full bodied fest beer, amber colored, very smooth.

Green bottle and a touch of that funky skunked aroma but it is very slight....that gives way to caramel covered apples....pretty good nose but not real strong.....dark reddish gold in color but cloudier than I like for this style...body is medium...slickish...a nice caramel maltiness to this, and a nice tight German hop finish...reminds me of Schell's Octoberfesf from my neck of the woods....I don't really care for that hop bite in this style ,but it does lend a nice balance to go along with the caramel sweetness...A much anticipated tasting for me and maybe I expected too much...this is definitely good but not in the superbeer category (although many including Michale Jackson disagree with me)...

Had it fresh at the brewery. So much better than the average BA rating that is calculated mostly from the bottled version of unknown freshness. Nice almost sweet dry malty character.

Poured a new penny copper with a tan 2 finger head that dissipated slowly to a thin film. Little lacing. Pronounced toasted bread and malt nose with a fruity essence. Taste follows the nose with added light grassy hops on the finish. Moderate-thin body and carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. This is very nice and drinkable!

It is a very dark copper color. Sort of foggy. A nice toasted bread nose and flavor with an ample amount of spicy Noe hops. Crisp and dry. This is a nice American made Marzen.

Appearance: Pours a copper color.
Overall: The aroma contains caramel, cherry and noble hops. The taste is almost all malt, with caramel, roasted malt, and just a hint of hop bitterness. Really well done and very good. Perfect spring beer!

Pours a beautiful dark orange/amber color into a pint glass. Very little head and little carbonation. Has the typical Oktoberfest malty smell when opening the bottle. Initial taste is a very full of Marzen flavor, better than most other Oktoberfest brews I've tried this fall.
