From their website: Montana grown 2-row pale, white wheat, and caramel malts. Simcoe and Cascade hops. Named after the two rivers that flow into Flathead Lake- the Flathead and Swan rivers.

As a person that's trying to avoid wheat, I wish this ingredient was stated on the bottle itself. This may not agree with me later.

Poured from a bomber into a sampler. A moderate pour produces about one inch of fluffy, bubbly head that dissipates quickly into a thin island that goes halfway across the top and rings the sides. The beer is a slightly hazy ruddy golden color with moderate carbonation.

There's plenty of floral and citrusy hop aroma-flavors but it's not too intense. Grapefruit and possibly some blood orange notes come through. Backing it is a light bodied and lightly sweet malt base. Slight astringency on the palate during the aftertaste, which lingers just a bit. Tingly mouthfeel with florid burps.

This is a pretty decent pale ale. The hops add nice aroma-flavors without completely overpowering the malt.

a decent pale ale, i didnt see a can date but im not sure my sixer was the freshest, either way, i still enjoyed this one, best when ice cold. fashioned a bit old school, maltier than is fashionable in the style now, and with plenty of bitterness, its balanced, but like in a way like a sierra nevada is balanced, both malty and quite aggressive on the hops at the same time. the things i like about this one include the piney hop profile, the upbeat carbonation, and the artwork on the packaging. what i dont like about it is the papery oxidation in it, the heaviness of the grain when it warms up, and the proportion of hop flavor to hop bitterness, which i think is a bit low. overall though this is a solid pale ale, better than some of the others i have had from montana, but not exciting or good enough overall to be memorable or on my buy again list. serviceable though, and i think its cool there are so many breweries popping up around the state and that they are starting to be easier to find. this was my first from these guys.

Poured from a standard pressure-cap bomber into a conic pint glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. Reviewed live.

A- Two finger fluffy white head. Decent retention. Hazy orange-gold body.

S- Despite the bottle's assurances that there are Cascade hops here, I don't detect them. Some golden malts and floral hops.

T- Light floral hoppiness. I get more of the Cascades here.

M- Relatively thick bodied. Wet and clean finish.

O- It gradually improved over the course of drinking. Not great but not awful.

A - light golden brown, decent head dissipated to random covering leaving lots of sticky lacing
S - strong earthy and peppery notes, with some light grainy and adjunct notes in the background
T - light earthy and citrus hop notes, but getting lots of adjunct flavour, just not where it should be
M - light body, medium carbonated, some bitterness, finishing a little thin
O - what started promising turned out pretty average, don't know much about this brewer but I'm assuming its a very small operation, so big respect for putting something out there
