I visited this place when I was back home from school, I was rather suprised to find a place like this in Tampa. I was happy to see the craft beer scene improving.
Quality: The lighting and the way the beers were vept looked very good. I didn't notice many beer out of date, but I've only been once.
Selection: The selection was very very good for Tampa. I was very very very impressed, especially since it seemed to be a rather big chain.
Service: Nothing really to note, rather average since I wasn't helped, but everyone seemed friendly.
Value: The value seemed to be pretty reasonable, and most of it was listed rather well.
Don't drink and review.

Total Wine is what it is. A store with a pretty decent selection at pretty damn good prices that are pretty hard to beat. You are not going to find any hard to find rare offerings, but they do carry most of the basics from the big breweries and some of the smaller locals at very reasonable prices. Most of the employees working there no nothing about beer, but the store is always clean and the isles are typically well stocked. Overall, Total Wine is no where near the best store in town but it is easy and convenient especially if you know what you want going in to it. As mentioned, don't go in looking for stuff you have never seen before, but it is a nice place to stock up with the essentials.
On a side note, make sure to check the dates on the bottles (if applicable) because I have noticed some beers on the shelves that are past their "best by" date.

If you've ever been to a Total Wine & More, you've almost been here before. I've been to stores in New Jersey and Delaware and they're almost exactly the same (this one was actually a little bit more clean and polished; and better organized, except it's a bit smaller in size so that should be easier to do).
The singles aisle is pretty large, and it covers local beers (I found almost everything I was looking for), beers from surrounding states, and even some from far-off (Stone, Brooklyn, etc). Overall, it's a pretty good representation of what's available within the state. Beyond that there are the imports, and although they have a wide range available, most of the items are fairly mainstream. That is, for the most part you won't find specialty imports (except for some holiday releases) like you will with domestic seasonals and small-batch lots.
As is the case with most Total Wine stores, the beer cooler mainly features mainstream stuff with a fair selection of domestic six-packs available as well - and the single bottles are limited to the very mainstream, a few imports, and a rare gem here and there of domestic / imported craft brew (usually in big bottles).
The wine selection is good, but it focuses on wines brought in by Total Wine. Many are exceptional values, but there are also some clunkers. And the problem with that is they're not usually reviewed outside of the Total Wine shelf tags (ie. no Wine Spectator, etc.); and if you do find a wine you really like you'll only be able to get it at Total Wine (I have a few that I continually go back to, but I also have easy access to the store in Cherry Hill, NJ!).
Service is good, but it can be hit or miss. No one approached me on my visit, and I saw a lot of shuckin' and jivin' going on amongst the employees, but I have run into employees who are really gung-ho and will go above and beyond to help you out (more in wine than beer).
Overall, a quick one-stop shop for mostly basic stuff and a minor selection of specialties. Worth checking out.

This seemed to be the place to load up on beers from the South or other places I can't get at home. However, it seemed I knew more about beer than some of the people who worked there. I also wanted to find Cigar City Improvisation there and it wasn't, but maybe I was too early. I was able to pick up their imperial stout and scotch ale, though. Another asset was a large selection of singles and bombers. I thought the prices were great. A must stop for any out of towner going to Cigar City nearby.

Glorious aisles full of sixers, singles, and cases -- after two months here in Tampa, no longer do I feel cut off from beerdom save for a few small specialty shops.
Unibroue, Rogue, Ommegang, Allagash... just a few of the labels I was happy to see represented. Enough Celebration Ale was on hand to fill a tanker.
Prices were *very* reasonable compared to what I've seen elsewhere in the area, and I like having enough room to browse comfortably without an owner looking over my shoulder.
Located a few lights south of Raymond James stadium, in front of Home Depot.

Was going to just go to the Whole Foods in this shopping center, but saw Total Wine and threw a U-turn in the parking lot. If you've ever been to a Total Wine, you know what to expect. The selection was insane. One full aisle (both sides) of large format bottles and singles, and one full aisle of six and 12 packs. We grabbed a CCB Humidor and a four pack of cider, because we wanted something canned. No one helped us on the floor, but the clerk at the counter seemed a little frigid. Odd how they wrote down mine and my girlfriend's drivers license numbers...I know we're out of state, but it was odd. I'd come back again and stock up a little more than I did this time.

This place is GREAT. I just wish it were easier for me to get there as I always hit that area of 275 at rush hr... That being said, it it very easy to find. Anyhow, enough whining. These guys have a tremendous selection. I was able to pick up brews from Coniston, Youngs, and Fullers at pretty reasonable prices. If that weren't enought, they have just about every craft brew or import you could want. I found their prices to be very reasonable and on some stuff very cheap. I would definitely stop at this store again!

Pretty nice place. Found it quickly, easy on/off to the freeway, and the selection was pretty good. Beverage Castle had a better selection but at least on the beers I made a note to compare, was quite a bit more expensive. I didn't need any help and was left alone to shop. Checkout was smooth and quick.
Loaded up on DFH, Full Sail, Lagunitas, and Allagash. Saw some Brooklyn but didn't buy. Perhaps I was looking right at the Stoudts, but I didn't see it. Oh well - reason to go back. Didn't buy much in the imported department except a couple London Porter and Saison Dupont bottles. Selection of imports looked pretty decent though. Really liked the selection of singles - some were past their best-by date, but in a couple cases I didn't mind.

On Dale Mabry just a light north of 275. Good store with a good selection. The staff here is awesome. There always there to give you recomendations and actually sound like they know what they are talking about. They have a mix a six pack section which is always fun when your trying new things. They have a decent 22oz selection and some local brews avalibale. They have no problem teling you when the beer your looking for is coming in. They will even put some aside for you. They put 2 cases of SA Imperial Pilsner to the side for me last year. But they are or were frugel with there 120's only letting me grab two. Pretty good for a big corporation to have a good beer selection. Nothing like ABC.

Visited Total Wine after my CCB flight.
Atm- A smaller Total wine to say the least. Smaller aisles and dimly lit store. Employees seemed to pay no attention.
Quality- Good products on the shelf with a few holes overall. Had a lot of state ticks and some random beers I needed from a couple years ago to re-review.
Service- Like I said, employees didnt pay much attention, but when I needed something they were attentive.
Selection- Good range of products from all up and down the east coast. Saw some things I wasnt expection. New CCB beers, Weyerbacher Insanity amongst others.
Value- Every single beer that I wanted in a single was between 1.79 and 3.29. A steal if you ask me.
