This dunkelweizen is chestnut brown in color, topped with thick, fluffy head which retains well. A good aroma of cinnamon crusted apples with fennel makes the beer even more tempting, which follows through to the taste. The flavors pop out; pleasant phenols at first, then followed by spiced apples. With a dash of clove, the flavor turns to be very appealing. It's light-medium-bodied, with appropriate carbonation.

Like its popular helles sibling, the dunkelweizen is one to respect. One to try.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a dark hazy brown colour with a decent white head.

Smells quite malty, yeasty, and fruity - surprisingly strong bananas.

Tastes very malty with quite a sharp yeast tang.

Overall a pretty nice beer but not the best of the style.
