Brown almost reddish body with off white head; no lace and cap disappeared quickly. Sweet raisin jack nose, kinda apple like as it warmed. Sweet caramel malt and prunes; tastes more like a Doppelbock than a porter; finishes like a sweet barleywine style withe sweet caramel covered apple flavors. Light body; prune juice tongue coating. Overall, enjoyable enough, I like the layers of fruit and sweet malt flavors without being cloying.

Served in a Gale Sayers shaker pint glass.
Not sure why, but it's taken me over a decade to finally have my first Belarussian beer. Thanks, international market by my buddy's place! This stuff pours a clear ruby-brown topped by a finger of sandstone foam. The nose comprises old cocoa powder, anise, light toasted bread, and mild perfume-y orange peel. The taste holds notes of toasted rye bread, cocoa powder, orange rind, anise, mild leather, and a touch of bitter coffee. Not my cup o' tea, so to speak. The body is a hefty medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a decent-enough porter, but the off-kilter bitterness throughout the background just doesn't work for me.

Reddish to brown, huge porous off-white head. Average retention. Aroma: firstly dark fruit & wine, later roasted malt. Medium body. Relatively dry taste with light sourness of roasted malts, hints of dry fruit & wine. Minimal bitterness growing through the ending. Fairly decent
