This is a great store to find a wide variety of great beers ales and wines from around the world. -
If it's a hard to find item try here first - Odds are they will have it.
You can buy singles and or six packs and pint's - I buy single beers as a way to try and rate different brews - I call it a hobby -
- their selection is awesome and always changing with the seasons -
Summer ales - Winter lagers - and everything in between - Even has Delirium Noel during the season -
great prices compared to specialty beer stores

Stopped by here to check out the selection. As noted by others, most of the beer is next to the wine right in the middle of the store. A good representation of American microbrews (Rouge, Bell's, Sierra Nevada and plenty of others). The bottles are in a different section near the back of the store. Along with the American's, they had a pretty wide area of Belgians. One thing that I almost missed-a section of singles to the right of beer cooler, including Stone's most recent verticle epic offering. They had some sort of wine tasting while I was in, so the employees were pretty busy, but one guy showed me where the singles were located.
Overall, a good place to pick up beer and one that I'll be frequenting again.

A few things to start off with. Their is three areas you need to know about. All local ohio beers are in a cooler to the left of the entrance past the produce. All 6-12pks and seasonal packs plus their good euro selection is in the middle of the store with the wine selection. Single bottles and bobmers are mostly located in the back right of the stoor. If you do not like hippies you might not like this place as all of the employees look like they just got out of woodstock.
Quality--Store is clean, bottles are all in nice condition. Whole foods seems to move bottles fast because their selection is always fresh which i am sure all the hop heads appreciate.
Service- Corey is the main beer guy at the store and is very helpfull. My guess he has tried every beer their and is more then happy to have a beer chat. My guess is they wont order beer for you since they are corporate but you can always suggest something.
Selection-Their selection is very nice, they usualy stock all the seasonals as they come out. It seems though limited their euro selection is nice, they seem to have a decent amout of cantillion that a friend of mince was excited about. Their Bobmer selection is week though and pales in comparrison to Kennys.
Value--They are pricey but not too bad. Their singles are priced fair but some of the 6 pks are 50c-$1 more. My suggestion would be to go across the street to Andersons if you are looking for a seasonal's as they might be cheaper. Any year round offer i would stick with whole foods though even if it is $1 more as i would gladly pay more for something that is 2-6 months fresher.

I love stopping by this place for lunch. Stonefired pizza after picking through their great beer selection.
Their service it pretty good. I had one of their employees asking me if I wanted something from the back storeroom. He explained people were walking out with the Kentucky breakfast stout. Of course I picked up a 4 pack.
The selection in this store is top notch. I don't see stacks of overpriced Euro pilsners.
Value is reasonable. They have an on sale rack between both coolers. Last month was Ommegang offerings. This month it Unibroue. About $1 off per 750ml.

I came in on a rainy tuesday night looking for food and came out with lots of beer and no food at all. The selection here is awesome although its scattered throughout the store. Make sure to travel to the back right corner of the store where they hide all the singles. Found many hard to find beers here and the price was about average from what i expected. Service was great, very knowledgeable staff in the wine/beer department. They sat there an talked to me for about half an hour trying to help me decide on what I should get. Overall great place to purchase beer.

I've been to Whole Foods many times now, and each time I go I become more impressed with their selection. They always seem to have a few new beers in stock every time I visit which is the main reason I prefer them over Anderson's. They have two fairly impressive coolers full of beer. One next to the wine section, and one in the back corner which is full of singles. Some of the brands they carry include: Stone, Alesmith, Rogue, Ommegang, Victory (including Old Horizontal), North Coast, Great Divide, Founder's (including their Imperial Stout and Kentucky Breakfast Stout), Three Floyd's and Allagash. They also have a great Belgian selection that includes: Rochefort, St. Bernardus, Tripel Karmeliet, Delerium, De Dolle, Rodenbach, Cantillon, Fantome, Kasteel, and De Ranke XX among others.
The service there is pretty good. There always seems to be a guy asking if I need any help. However I usually don't use his service since I always know what I want. The prices are pretty reasonable and are on par with the other stores in the area.
The last time I was there which was about two weeks ago I picked up the second to last four-pack of Kentucky Breakfast Stout, and a couple of Old Guardian bombers and left a very happy customer.
Overall I feel that the other reviews kind of underestimate how great this store is, which prompted me to write this review. This is definitely a must stop when in the Columbus area. And if you live in Columbus, be sure to stop in every few weeks to find some of the rare beers they get in every now and then.

This place has an excellent selection for a grocery store. Although located nearby to The Anderson's store (which has a bigger selection), this WF has a ton of foot traffic, which leads one to believe that anything bought would be fresher and priced to move. The beer is spread throughout the store, with separate coolers dedicated to local beers, singles/bombers, and six/twelve packs. I had the opportunity to visit during one of the Monday night tastings, and really enjoyed the ambiance and access to great food (try the pizza). The beautiful thing about this place is that you can buy you beer and consume it on premise (just ask for glassware), which makes for the best grocery shopping experience I've ever had!
