This beer creates gigantic foam when pored. It sinks slowly down to a two finger thick beige head. The colour of the beer is dark amber; the liquid is clear.
The smell is violently citric bitter with grape fruits, metallic flavours and some sourness.
The taste is also really, really bitter with loads and loads of grape fruits. Although a strong taste, it is more creamy than sharp. Some lightly sweet malt with mildly roasted flavours peeps out. I also noted a touch of banana. The long generous aftertaste is citric too with notes of grape fruit, bitter oranges, and bitter herbs.
The carbonation is fresh, quite strong with lots of medium bubbles, the liquid is light.
A robust, well crafted American IPA. Well done!
