A: The beer is clear deep yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that died down a bit, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of fruity yeast and pale malts are present in the nose along with some notes of floral hops and hints of citrus.
T: The taste very much follows the smell and has some additional hints of grassy hops. A light amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It finishes with a slight amount of dryness.
O: This beer seems more like an English Pale Ale and less like an English IPA. Nevertheless, it is very easy to drink and perfectly sessionable.

I know that this is an English IPA, but I feel like it is still missing just a little something. Just a little more punch from hops, perhaps. What's there is decent, but not anything interesting. It's funny that I never thought I'd see anything else from this brewery, but here it is. Unfortunately, I think I appreciate their gruits more than this.

500ml Bottle (Sainsbury's, £1.51): Bright amber colour with a large, two fingers tall head that is a foamy white and has excellent retention.

Hoppy to begin with but a subdued, unmistakably English IPA aroma that is fruity with some orange and citrus notes along with some pine and light grapefruit notes. A very nice smell that has some floral touches and an earthy hop aroma too.

Very hop filled with some pine and lighter grapefruit that mirrors the nose. There is some orange and sweet fruits in the mix along with a touch of earthy bitterness.

A little bitter and quite well balanced with a nice, medium body and moderate carbonation along with a nice, crisp citrus finish that is slightly dry too.

I've tried this one a few times before on nights out and not fully appreciated how good it actually is. A very nice IPA that was very enjoyable. Definitely one to look out for and try if you get the chance.

This poured out as a very pale yellow color with a soapy white head on top. The retention is minimal and there is basically no lacing. The smell of the beer has some English malts with a mild earthy hop aroma. The taste of the beer continues with the nose, it's got some mild dry malt with a subtle bitter finish. Te mouthfeel is drinkable and smooth. Overall it's a decent brew. Nothing too exciting but it's not bad.

Pours a lightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. In the aroma, starts off orange citrus to a pine like ending of hops. In the taste, a mix of mellow pine and orange citrus hops, yet still a bit watery. A small hop bite and a medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry pine like hop in the aftertaste. Big nose, and decent hops, but a bit thin and watery.

This definitely has an old world feel. As you pour it is obviously a unique yellow. the thin head quickly dissipates. The aroma is mild but nice. A little floral in the aroma. The taste is light and only slightly hoppy, not wickedly like the label says, especially when compared to AIPA's.

The aftertaste is especially good. Light and crisp and clean. Overall, this is a very drinkable ale. If fact, it would be easy to put down several of these, but the cost of importing is apparently what brings this into the too expensive range.

A nice treat from Scotland, for sure.
