For the first time I stopped in the Plaza Liquor Mart....drive by it all the time whilst in MTV for Biznet.....the vibe is fine for a beer store....and they have slots! State's gots to make it hay....am I right!......the store is very clean and nicely laid out.....the gal working asked if I needed any help and was kind to sign me up for they beer reward program. The had alot of beer to choose from....way more than I expected......got beer from some brewers I had not tried before....very excited!

2018. Came here based on reviews. Didn't see much quality stuff I couldn't get elsewhere in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, etc. No Half Acre. No 3F. No bathroom.

Mostly Urban Chestnut, Big Muddy, 4204, Bells, DFH, Finch, Boulevard, Excel. $11.99 Mix-six is year old IPA's and holiday ales from last year.

I left with a pint glass. And a 20 oz mountain dew as they won't run your card for less than $5.

Great selection of craft and import brews and a decent bourbon and wine selection as well. Good selection of local and regional beers and a decent selection of west coast and east coast brews as well. They have a great selection of founders, ballast point, lagunitas, schlafly, boulevard, new belgium, 4204, 4 hands, sam adams, samuel smith and excel. The imports have a decent selection of mostly German and Mexican style beers. They are usually the first place I go to if I'm looking for something seasonal as they get a lot of the hard to find beers. They also offer a mix a 6 that has a few good brews to try.

The inside could use a bit of updating but it's not horrible. The staff is mostly made up of helpful people that will even offer there assistance to carry your beer out to your car and even when they are slammed they will try to help as much as possible. A few of them will actually take you through the store and make sure you get the most help possible when you're buying a gift or looking for something special. They are also very courteous and polite and make it a very positive experience. The manager is also great at helping out and isn't afraid to get out on the floor and help her employees or customers when needed she is also super cool and easy to get along with, just don't come in thinking you're going to be loud and obnoxious because she will call you out lol. My only complaint is that they need uniforms or something that makes it easier to distinguish them from regular customers.

This is my go to store and will remain my go to store in the area.

Great craft beer selection with new beers added often! Definitely the store in Mt Vernon area for Beer, Wine & Liquor. 11 cooler doors of craft beer and 3 doors of imports.

This beer store is located near the town square of Mt. Vernon on 10th street (Rte 37). There is parking available pretty much all around the building.

The interior is laid out with wine and liquor covering about 2/3 of the store, with the beer in coolers in the left and rear walls, and on shelves on the left side of the floor.

There is a decent variety of beer here, including Sierra Nevada, O'Fallon, Schlafly, Boulevard, Rogue and others. They also have a few variety packs available from the regional brewers. Imports are UK and German-heavy.

Service here is alright, the clerk asked if I needed anything but that was about the extent of it.

Overall this spot would do for someone passing through who wanted some of the more common regional brews that are available. Aside from locals and passers-through, it probably isn't worth a long drive to visit though.

Located 4 blocks south of the city square on Hwy 37.

An oasis in the area for micro brews. Stock is well maintained and rotated. 6 packs of Schlafly, Sierra Nevada, Anchor in their usual 4 or 5 styles and in the refrigerated section bomber sized imports - Paulaner, Samuel Smith etc. Off street partking lot. Security is not evident but it is located on a busy intersection.

Owned by Ronald H McDaniel [email protected] phone 618 242 4263.

Get the feeling that with a little support they would improve their selection.
