Served in a tulip pint glass at the Palatine brewpub.

Hmm, a CDA on nitro? Sounds intriguing... It pours a seemingly straight onyx (actually highlighted with dark garnet) topped by a stolid finger of off-white foam, which hangs around for nearly the entire drink. Take that, Guinness! Possibly the best CDA I've ever seen. The nose comprises mild roasted malts, mild cocoa, and a touch of greens. The taste holds notes of light coffee, dark chocolate, pine resin, light orange peel, and light roast. The body is a light medium, with a lovely nitrogenation and a subsequently silky-smooth feel. Overall, a surprisingly damn fine CDA, one that seems to benefit greatly from the nitro.
