Bottle from good ta go beer store in PA for 1.99 - thanks to jfam for this
Appearance - Dark brown colour with a large size frothy brown head. I can't make out the amount of carbonation showing and there is some good lacing. The head lasted for over 5 minutes.
Smell - Malts, chocolate, roasted nuts/smoke
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, coffee, chocolate, and a nuttiness. There is also a bit of a smokiness. It ends with a rich dark chocolate aftertaste with a bit of lingering bitterness.
Overall - One of the better porters that I have had the pleasure of drinking. I'd make this one of my go to's if it was available locally. Worth seeking out.

Poured out of a stubby brown 12 oz bottle into a 50 cL glass stein. Bottle doesn't seem to have a bottling or freshness date, but I know that this bottle is about 6 months old.
Appearance - Aggressive pour yields a half-finger of light foam, which dissipates quickly--about 60 seconds. The color is wheat bread and sits atop a rich almost-black chestnut brown colored body. Foam settles as a rim around the edge of the glass, with a faint etching of lace across the surface.
Smell - Hard to pick up at first, but gets stronger as it warms. Roasted notes and faint sweetness, with some hints of leather and fresh soil.
Taste - Semisweet chocolate and burnt caramel up front. Those flavors evolve into a stronger element of bittering hops and burnt toast on the aftertaste. Some licorice element as it warms.
Mouthfeel - Rich and smooth, but only medium-bodied. A light but present amount of carbonation tingle. Finish is viscous and lingering.
Overall a wonderfully drinkable porter, with a complex flavor. Given that it's fairly easy to get in my neck of the woods, I imagine I'll have this one many more times.

Poured this one into a pint glass for a half finger of mocha colored head. This broke up rather quickly and left not much more than a ring on top of a dark cola-colored body. Lace clings then slowly descends the side of the glass.
This smells deliciously of roasty malts, dark chocolate and a kiss of coffee.
Roasted malt and a hint of dark fruit starts off the flavor. Coffee and a taste of earthy hops seem to take over, and then the finish is all chocolate and malt.
The mouthfeel on this is a solid medium body. I honestly think the carbonation is a little too biting. It nips at the tongue quite a bit on this one. Lightly coats the tongue, slightly dry finish.

Appearance: Very dark chestnut, almost black; small tan head dissipates quickly with little lacing
Aroma: Bitter roasted grains; earthy hops; coffee
Taste: Bitter roasted grains up front; creamy mouthfeel in the mid with good malt character and dried figs; ends with a smooth, bitter finish and dry aftertaste
Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores
