12oz bottle poured into a Founders Brewing Company snifter.

Pours a true copper color, hues of orange and gold, fairly clear texture with a slight chill haze. A thin, fizzy white head surfaces for a brief moment before receding into nothingness leaving no film and no lacing. The aroma is pleasant, light citrusy and floral hops, a bit of fruit brings out the sweetness from the grain that is soft and subtle. I can't say there is too much going on here, but it's certainly enough to keep my interest. The flavors are right in line with the nose, light tropical fruit, citrus fruit with floral undertones lead the way with some earthier pine and pale cereal grain at the finish. The body is nice, carbonation is a bit higher but still moderate, with a lightly dry finish.

Verdict: A really enjoyable session IPA from Founders. The flavors do skew to the lighter side and aren't as impactful as a higher gravity IPA but the refreshing nature of this beer makes it a winner.

Pours an ever so slightly hazed golden amber body with a thin off white head that drops to a skim quickly, leaving a few spots of soapy lace.

Scent is excellent. Very fruity. Tangerines, lime. Sweetly floral. Pine oils.

Taste is a bit disappointing when compared to my usual favorite IPAs and doesn't quite live up to the scent. But then this is a 4.7% ABV session ale, not a 7% or 8% monster IPA. Pleasantly bitter with a bit of citrus (mostly lime) and pine. Malts are limited to the barest biscuity suggestion.

Mouth is briskly carbonated and spare.

Refreshing, brisk and easy drinking session IPA with a great nose.

Surprised...in a good way!

Looks like an orange colored American IPA. Pleasant pale ale smell, with expected citrus and piney goodness. Great bitter flavor. Slick yet bitey mouthfeel. Is it the best IPA out there...no. But 4.7%?!?!? Given the diminutive caloric hit, and a smaller liver jab than a pair of Tylenol, this beer is awesome!!! My new default IPA in the fridge. Did I say awesome?

Lovely clear golden amber. Nice head and goodly lacing.
Smell is dank and earthy. Lots of hops of the English earth. Some light citrus. Bready malt. Taste is perfect. Dry hoppy ale that is crisp while having a satisfying punch. Support dry finish with lots of hop oil lingering. Feel is as I said crisp with nice mildly effervescent carbonation. A perfect American expression of a mild ale.
