A. Light copper to dark straw appearance with a white head of about 2 fingers that breaks moderately fast to a covering skim.
S. Piney - resinous - herbal type hops with some biscuit malt poking through. Pretty nice.
T. Somewhat simple but offers enough flavor to keep things interesting. Light hop citrus and pine bitterness followed with bready malt that runs into a clean, nicely bitter finish. Invites you back quickly for another sip.
M. Lighter bodied with good carbonation. This stuff is made to slide down quickly.
O. A great summer beer that won't fatigue the palate or knock you on your ass if you have more than 4+ in a session. My only beef, which has been expressed by others, is that this beer strains hard to be considered an IPA. I guess it really doesn't matter, it's a nice effort from Founders nonetheless.

I don't get it. The first one of these I had out of the sixpack was so enjoyable and tasty and refreshing and light. I thought I'd found my new go-to beer, particularly for warm weather. Several days later, the second one tasted like straight up cat pee. Is that the Simcoe hops? Is it one of the undisclosed hops they say are in there? I don't know but it makes for an unpleasant experience. I'll try a third one in hopes that it tastes like the first, but if not, this one gets perma-banned from my fridge.

L: Bright gold with a touch of haze and small soapy head. Not much in the way of lacing, but good carbonation streaming up from the bottom.
A: Big piney and resiny hop notes, citrus zest as well. Not much in the way of malt character, a slight graininess from the base malt. Neutral fermentation character, but a touch of yeastiness.
T/M: Firm hop bitterness upfront for such a light brew, nice pine/resin hops with some vegetal character as well as some fruitiness. Malt is damn near nonexistent, providing little to no balance and giving a very drying finish, but does an excellent job of accentuating hop character. There is a slight yeasty bite to this beer, likely from the lack of fining agents and the use of a low flocculating, neutral American ale strain.
Overall, a very delicious session ale. Insanely drinkable and gives hopheads something to drink all day long. Great for any occasion where you want to keep a flavorful beer flowing over your tongue.
