A - Partly hazy, with nice carbonation. Very small, 1/2 finger head that quickly dissipated (may have been an older bottle).
S - Very nice note of grapefruit. Very even smell.
T - Lovely even flavor: grapefruit peel, lovely bitterness mid-tongue.
M - Easy to drink, with the sweetness and the bitterness well-balanced and hitting the right spots.
O - This isn't the most full-flavored IPA, but it isn't supposed to be. In fact, it comes across as good, if not better, than much higher ABV IPAs. My first sip, I was disappointed, until I remembered it's 4.7%; every sip thereafter just got better and better. A very solid beer, all the way to the bottom of the glass.

Modest starting head which initially leaves some stringy lace on the glass. The color is amber with a light haze.
Strong grapefruit rind aroma. A little light on the malt nose.
The flavor matches the aroma--it's more citrus rind than malty, but there is some sweetness that is quite subtle. Full bodied but the carbonation is elevated as well.

I need this in my life. summer beer is usually so boring in the name of sessionability, and steers away from the hops I love. this one does not. its bright golden and clear with an inch or so of white head. the nose is gorgeous cut grass and citra hops, or something similarly fruity, with big grapefruit notes and a touch of lemon peel. the flavor is the same, lighter malt body, big bold hop flavor that avoids being overly bitter, but packs in just a ton of fresh hop flavor. it really in a brilliant brew, and the 4.7% is just about right, as the name suggests, for all day drinking. perfectly carbonated with aggressive bubbles, light but not watery on the body, and clean and refreshing in the finish. it wouldn't be quite sturdy enough for me during colder months, but this time of year I can think of very few beers I would rather get into. I like it ice cold right from the bottle the best, preferably on the boat. a beer drinkers summer beer.
