Paid $2.79 for a single at The Party Source...

Pours a heavy golden color, huge head from pour, very good retention, excellent lacing on the glass. Aroma, think fresh field hops to the "nth degree".

The taste was a little thicker than one would expect from an Imperial IPA, chewy... yes, carbonation is moderate, fairly smooth all the way. The head retention makes this beer smooth enough (even with the excessive hop action) and at 9.4% is a two-beer session.

Final Thought: Great start, solid finish; a well crafted Imperial IPA!

Beautiful golden orange yellow, slightly translucent. Minimal head, no real lacing.

Nose is super citrusy, with grapefruit, lemon, orange, hint of peach.

Taste is full of citrus up front. Grapefruit dominates, with a hint of honey and peach again. Follows with a biting, crisp bitter hop.

Medium full mouth feel leaves a nice coating.

Great DIPA. Super fresh. Super crisp. Tons of citrus. Not the best out there, but totally great. Balance is a little off for perfection, but flavors are dead on.

Pours a hazy apricot color with a minimal white head. Tiny streams of bubbles can be seen streaming up from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is quite pleasant, smelling of passion fruit, peach, grapefruit, and some pine. In spite of the pine's modest presence in the nose, it comes through full force in the flavor--we're talking full-on Pine Sol here. Any fruits are very difficult to discern behind the resinous backbone. Perhaps some grapefruit sneaks through? There's also a grassy funkiness--the hop bitterness isn't quite as "clean" as I've found in other high caliber IPAs. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but acceptable for the style.

The bottle says Imperial IPA, and this has all the fierce bitterness you'd expect with that. If I liked IPA's, I'd probably be really enjoy this.

Pours a cloudy amber with a thin white head.

The smell is citrus and piney hops.

The taste is bitter, citrus hop and pine. There is a sweet malt back bone but the bitterness takes the forefront.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and oily. My youngest feels like it is coated in bitter hops.

A very good and hoppy bitter dipa. Hides its abv very well.
